No Marussia at Abu Dhabi

Marussia F1 Team will not return to the grid at this weekend's final round of the Formula 1 Seasons Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, after talks with potential investors fell through.

The outfit was placed into administration at the end of October and missed the last two races in the United States and Brazil. While a fortnight ago, the administrator, FRP Advisory, confirmed that Marussia had ceased trading, with all 200 staff being made redundant.

Graeme Lowdon, who was President and Sporting Director of Marussia, said last week that the team was in "serious talks" with one group.

But with a takeover deal ultimately failing to happen, Marussia will not join Caterham in making a return at Abu Dhabi.

Although Marussia could still be on the grid next season if a deal happens soon.

End of post for now, new post soon. Bye.
