Gone in seven months, Ferrari replaces Marco Mattiacci as team boss

On Monday morning (14/4/13) it was announce that Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal Marco Mattiacci has left the Formula 1 team only seven months after joining and will be replaced by Maurizio Arrivabene



After replacing former Team Principal Stefano Domenicali in April. There was some strong rumours during last weekends Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, that Mattiacci's future was uncertain. Until yesterdays news happen. And maybe the best option for Ferrari to replace the underperforming Marco Mattiacci just after the end of the season.

While, Arrivabene joins Ferrari after more than 15 years with Philip Morris and is well known to Ferrari through the team's sponsorship deal with Marlboro.

He has also represented all Formula 1 sponsors on the F1 Commission since 2010.

As new Team Principal Maurizio Arrivabene has got the toughest job of any Team Principal in Formula 1 and that is managing Ferrari expectations.
