20 years of Michael Schumacher in F1 and 2011 F1 Beligian Grand Prix Predictions

Hi there, this week only, unless anything changes. Belgium Grand Prix Predictions later on on this post for now Michael Schumacher. This weekend its been 20 years ago that Michael Schumacher has started his Formula 1 career as a driver for Jordan for his only race for Jordan (now Force India) at Spa. Then moving onto Benetton and Ferrari, then semi-retirement and now returning into F1 with Mercedes GP. I doubt we see Michael Scuhumacher as a Formula 1 driver in 10 years time, but contracts to the seven times world champion for being Formula for 20 years.

Before we go into Predictions for the Belgium Grand Prix at Spa. A little change at Renault, Bruno Senna will be driving at Spa and Monza this weekend for Lotus Renault (not Team Lotus Renault, confusing I know) instead of Nick Hiedfied, who looks like his fired from Renault. In my opinion, I see in both sides, very experience race driver from Nick who very experience compared to former Renault Team Mate Vitaly Petrov. But, yet again only two points ahead of his former team mate who hasn't got a lot of F1 experiment heading into Spa. And the team ain't going to finish no lower than fifth in the Constructors Championship. But yet again the car at this moment of time is quite slow to some of the middle of the grid teams like Sauber and Force India. Anyway, good luck for Bruno for this weekend.

Anyway Predictions for this weekends Belgium Grand Prix at Spa. McLaren one-two (Hamilton ahead of Button) Vettel third, don't forget Webber the Ferraris' and Mercedes's cars too. End of blog for now. New post soon. That is all. Bye.

Gymkhana Four

Hi again, final blog of the week. Continuing with the Gymkhana mode with Ken Block. With his new Gymkhana video called: "GYMKHANA FOUR; THE HOLLYWOOD MEGAMERCIAL" (video below).

DC SHOES: KEN BLOCK'S GYMKHANA FOUR; THE HOLLYWOOD MEGAMERCIAL

What I think about it. I personally loved it (so does the 4,000,000 hits on YouTube too so far), the best Gymkhana film Ken Block has produced yet. I always likes the skill in a gymkhana, despite the editing in the footage, it still edited well. Anyway still a great video well done Ken Block for creating it. I wonder what Gymkhnan Five will be like? Oh well wait until next year then. End of Blog for now, new post soon. That is all. Bye.

One year on, MotoGP review Brno 2011, Valentino Rossi

Hi there, its been year today I've written this blog. This is back to start again what I done a year ago Czech Republic MotoGP race review and Valentino Rossi.

Good points and bad points of the Czech Republic MotoGP race

Good Points

  • Casey Stoner (started 3rd and won with six seconds to spare)
  • Andrea Dovizioso (finished 2nd)
  • Marco Simoncelli (finished 3rd, first podium in Premier MotoGP class)
  • Valentino Rossi (finished 6th, not his best result this season, but only 12 seconds behind Stoner)

Bad Points

  • Jorge Lorenzo (started on soft tyres, brave gamble, gamble didn't work finished 4th )
  • Karel Abraham (crashed and then engine exploded in his home GP)
  • Cal Crutchlow (crashed out)
  • Dani Pedrosa (on pole then second lap crashed out)
  • Rizla Suzuki (read below)
  • Alvaro Bautista (crashed out with six laps to go, was behind Rossi until the crash)
  • John Hopkins (wild card for Suzuki this weekend, but injured his hand, so he was forced to miss the race, shame)

Very dominating race for Honda with Casey Stoner winning the race, Andrea Dovizioso finishing second and Marco Simoncelli geting his first podium in the premier MotoGP class for third place (all HRC backed riders by the way). Interesting fact, that last time three Hondas' were on top the podium was back in 1000cc era at Laguna Seca 2006 were Nicky Hayden won, Dani Pedrosa second and Marco Melandri completing the podium and it hasn't happen in the four stoke 800cc era until Sunday afternoon. Now, Stoner is ahead of Lorenzo by 32 points with Lorenzo's forth place by gambling on soft tyres, which the gamble didn't work for the champ. The only problem for Honda was Dani Pedrosa crashed out in lap two while on pole and while leading. Anyway, Great Dominating Race from Honda for a long time.

As I said in last years post about
Valentino Rossi going to Ducait this year saying "possibly the futures bright for Ducati for next season". Twelve months later could you say this, Rossi hasn't won a race, his has been the worse Ducati rider in Qualifying in some races, his been outpace in some races by Hayden, he is only forth in the championship standings despite no DNFs from either work Ducatis' and best finish is two third places one each for both riders. And rumours that Rossi going to Honda next season with his own team, for example like the Team Roberts in 1980s-2000s, which his still contracted to Ducati next season, don't forget that Rossi bought his team from Yamaha last year includes Jeremy Burgess.

So far the results ain't been good. Compared to last year Stoner won nothing before Brno, then afterwards to the end of the season Stoner won three races. If Rossi doesn't win a race till the end of the season. It will be a failure season from the former champ, which will be a shame. You have to remember next season, back to 1000cc four strokes to the Premier class from the current 800cc four strokes bikes, and his got to develop the bike as a race winning bike, if not it could be the end of Rossi and Ducati partnership and possibly the end of the doctors bike career? but, who knows.

Anyway, been a great year of writting this blog, lets hope another great year of writing around racing. End of post for now, new post soon. Bye.

MG Thought?

Hi again to finish off the week with a light though. And its not Formula 1 thank god, but British Touring Cars Championship. Possibly return of MG. Rebirth from parent company Nanjing Automobile (Group) Corporation with new car from MG called MG6.

Just make me think are we going to see MG brand back in the BTCC? Last time we seen a MG as a works team back in 2003 (with WSR) with the old MG ZS in BTC Spec, still continue with the ZS car with Independent teams till 2008 (picture below).

With the cost-effective NGTC rules coming into effect this season, were some of the new cars such as Audi A4 and Toyota Avenuis are improving pace each weekend they are racing in BTCC, in the NGTC which cost half of a S2000 spec car of the price.

Are we going to see a NGTC spec MG6 Touring car next season? a works team or a private (independent) team who gonna build the car? who knows I bet we gonna see a MG next year in BTCC. End of post for now. That is all. Bye.

BBC = Cowards

As the titles says, pervious blog I wrote about BBC splitting the F1 coverage with Sky next year. So they got over 8,000 complaints about the new TV deal so far.

So how to they calm down the angry Formula one fans which I am included. Bringing out F1 commentary legend Murray Walker, who has backed the hardcore fans with his own thoughts in he past weekend. So in this video Murray Walker try to explain to the F1 fans about the BBC/Sky F1 deal.

I have the greatest respect for Murray Walker but this video does make me ask some questions. Did the BBC say it or has came out of his own mind. My feeling its sound more of the BBC in my opinion. I do agree with the cuts, but to F1 were they get 6,000,000 viewers. Was there any other place that BBC can cut into other places inside the beeb.

I say this to the BBC stop do excuses behind a 87 year old person to explain to the audience about the cut of Formula 1 racing on the Beeb. Have the balls to say it, because the BBC more like a munch of
Cowards to me. If anyone say it great deal for the F1/BBC, no it ain't good for Bernie Ecclestone and Sky. But, Not for the viewers. Get this into your thick head BBC and some F1 team bosses: People do not have the £35 per month subscription for Sky it's a luxury Sky is, also who owns 40% of BSkyB, Rupert Murdoch of course, can't blame the fans.

So if anyone say Sky isn't a luxury, I really disagree. So to the BBC my message to you stop acting like cowards because you got over 8,000 complaint to the new deal which F1 fans really hate. You guys the BBC have really shot yourself in the foot to the Formula one fans big time. And that is my last thoughts on it for now.

And my final thought is Power to the People, that means to the F1 fans. Bye.

MotoGP Laguna Seca Review and Yamaha 50th anniversary spoof

Today post more of a light hearted post to compare the pervious post I written about the TV deal in F1. So today suppose to be written on Friday about last weeks MotoGP race at Laguna Seca. and 50th years of Yamaha.

As for the race won by Casey Stoner in his Yamaha, while current champion Jorge Lorenzo had a big crash in qualifying that almost broke his leg, which he carried a lot of pain in the race to finished 2nd place.

This season Yamaha are celebrating their 50th years in Motorcycling racing. As this video showed there old skool Red and White livery for Assen and Laguna to Celebrate with (shame they didn't did a Yellow and Black livery from the 70s as-well for a race).

So Yamaha are celebrating with this by a back to the future style spoof video with current and former riders who drove for Yamaha. Current Riders and Former World Championship Yamaha Riders includes Jorge Lorenzo, Ben Spies, Cal Crutchlow and Colin Edwards as they travel back with Kenny Roberts Sr, Wayne Rainey and Eddie Lawson. So enjoy.

And a final word for Yamaha. Well done for 50 year, hope for another 50 years more.

That is all. Bye.
