It was confirmed on Thursday (19/9/19) that Robert Kubica will leave from Williams at the end of the 2019 season, which means the Pole will thus be leaving Formula 1 after six seasons thus far, which includes a Grand Prix win.
Kubica completed a remarkable comeback eight years after a rally accident that nearly killed him. However, results have been hard to come by and out-performed by team-mate George Russell throughout the season, Kubica currently sits nineteenth place in the Drivers' standings, with a best finish of tenth place at the German Grand Prix.
Kubica will likely be replaced by Williams test-driver and Formula 2 driver Nicholas Latifi.
Happy to see Robert Kubica back racing in Formula 1 this season, gutted its not going on further after the final race of the season. In a different universe Robert Kubica would have been a multiple world champion by now.
