Confirmed: Williams F1 Team retain Mercedes-Benz Power-units till 2025 on a new long-term deal

It was confirmed on Friday (13/9/19), Williams F1 Team has signed a new long-term engine partnership deal with with Mercedes to supply the team their Power-units till 2025.

The team, already committed to Mercedes for next season, have signed a new agreement for the following five years. The team will still design and manufacture its own transmission.

In my opinion, this is no major surprise that the news has happen; despite poor results for the last two seasons from the team, Mercedes are happy to retain the partnership till 2025. This is a good deal for Williams for a few seasons to come.
