It was confirmed yesterday (22/8/17) that Ferrari will retain 2007 Formula 1 World Champion Kimi Räikkönen for the 2018 Formula 1 season.
Räikkönen made the return switch to the team in 2014 after two seasons at Lotus (now Renault), Räikkönen currently sits fifth place in the championship, with a best finish of two second places at Monaco and Hungary so far this season.
Overall, a good decision from Ferrari to keep Kimi Räikkönen for next season. Although, Räikkönen team-mate Sebastian Vettel has not been announced as his team-mate for next season. Although, Italian Grand Prix is next week meaning the deal could be announce in a weeks time for Ferrari's home race.
