It was confirmed on Monday (21/11/16) that F1 Marketing expert Zak Brown will become the Executive Director of the McLaren Technology Group next month, the company has announced, in a move which is "a significant part of a restructuring programme".
It was confirmed last week that Ron Dennis had been forced to stand down as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at McLaren, ending a 36-year spell with the team.
A McLaren statement explained that Brown will "align the [McLaren] Group's commercial and strategic operations relating to achieving success in Formula 1".
McLaren is still in the process of identifying and recruiting a new Group Chief Executive Officer.
No surprise with the news, as this was expected from last week when Ron Dennis forced to steps down from his role at McLaren.
