2016 TCR Round 11 Recap, Stefano Comini 2016 TCR International Series Champion

Review of the final round of the 2016 TCR International Series season was at the Guia Street Circuit, in Macau.

In the first race, Leopard Racing driver and current TCR International Series Champion Stefano Comini took the race win in his Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR. Second was Leopard Racing driver Jean-Karl Vernay in his Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR, he was a second behind Comini in the end. While, third place was WestCoast Racing driver Tiago Monteiro in his Honda Civic TCR, he was fourteen tenths of a second behind Comini in the end.



While in the second race, WestCoast Racing driver Tiago Monteiro took the race win in his Honda Civic TCR. Second was Leopard Racing driver Jean-Karl Vernay in his Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR, he was nine tenths of a second behind Monteiro in the end. While, third place was Craft-Bamboo Lukoil driver Pepe Oriola in his SEAT León TCR, he was fourteen tenths of a second behind Monteiro in the end.

Finally, Leopard Racing driver and current TCR International Series Champion Stefano Comini finished fourth place in his Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR, he was two and half seconds behind Monteiro in the end. That was enough for Stefano Comini to retain the TCR International Series Drivers' Champion and becoming 2016 TCR International Series Drivers' Champion to beat James Nash by three and half points in the last round of the year. Contractions to Stefano Comini for winning this years title.



And so this years champions in TCR International Series, TCR International Series Drivers' Champion: Stefano Comini. TCR International Series Teams' Championship: Team Craft-Bamboo Lukoil. Model car of the year: SEAT León. And OMP Trophy: Pepe Oriola.
