Confirmed: Jolyon Palmer races with Lotus for 2016

It's been confirmed yesterday (23/10/15) 2014 GP2 series champion and current Lotus reserve driver Jolyon Palmer will race with the Lotus F1 Team, for the 2016 Formula 1 season.

Palmer, who has spent 2015 as a reserve driver with the team, with ten Friday Morning Pratice sessions so far this season, is stepping up to a race seat alongside Pastor Maldonado for next season, after current Lotus driver Romain Grosjean will move to the all new Haas team in 2016.

Jolyon Palmer, is the son of former Zakspeed and Tyrrell F1 driver Jonathan Palmer.

Great News to see Jolyon Palmer stepping up to a full F1 drive at Lotus next season, well earned. I thought it might have gone to Jean-Éric Vergne or Kevin Magnussen due to both drivers got more Formula 1 experience, but that has not happened and promoted their reverse-driver instead. Great to see another British driver on the grid for next season.

End of blog for now, new post soon. Bye.
