2015 BTCC Round 10 Recap, Gordon Shedden 2015 BTCC Champion!
Review of Round Ten and the final round of the 2015 British Touring Car Championship season was at Brands Hatch's Grand Prix Circuit, in Kent.
In the first race, Motorbase Performance driver Mat Jackson took the race win in his Ford Focus ST and also took Independents class win too. Second was Team BMR RCIB Insurance driver Árón Smith in his Volkswagen CC, he was seven tenths of a second behind Jackson in the end. While, third place was WIX Racing driver Adam Morgan in his Mercedes-Benz A-Class, he was two seconds behind Jackson in the end.
While, Jack Sears Trophy (for top 'Rookie Driver' in the series) was won by #RacingforHeroes driver Josh Cook in his Chevrolet Cruze 4dr, he finished in ninth place and was eight and half seconds behind Jackson in the end.
Meanwhile in the second race, once again Motorbase Performance driver Mat Jackson took the race win in his Ford Focus ST and also took Independents class win too. Second was Speedworks Motorsport driver Tom Ingram in his Toyota Avensis, four tenths of a second behind Jackson in the end. While, third place was WIX Racing driver Adam Morgan in his Mercedes-Benz A-Class, he was fifteen tenths of a second behind Jackson in the end.
While, Jack Sears Trophy was won by #RacingforHeroes driver Josh Cook in his Chevrolet Cruze 4dr, he finished in sixteenth place and was twenty-one seconds behind Jackson in the end.
While in the third race, Team BMR driver Jason Plato took the race win in his Volkswagen CC and also took Independents class win too. Second was Motorbase Performance driver Mat Jackson in his Ford Focus ST, he was four seconds behind Plato in the end. While, third place was MG 888 Racing driver Andrew Jordan in his MG6 GT, he was eight and half seconds behind Plato in the end.
Meanwhile, fourth place was Honda Yuasa Racing driver Gordon Shedden in his Honda Civic Type R, he was nine seconds behind Plato in the end and enough for Gordon Shedden to be 2015 BTCC Drivers' Champion for his second title to beat Jason Plato by only four points in the last round of the year.
While, Jack Sears Trophy was won by AmD Tuning driver Mike Bushell in his Ford Focus ST, he finished in fourteenth place and was eighteen seconds behind Plato in the end.
And so, this years champions, Gordon Shedden took the BTCC Drivers' Championship. Honda/Team Dynamics took the Manufacturers'/Constructors' Championship. Team BMR RCIB Insurance took the Teams' Championship. While, Colin Turkington took the Independents' Trophy. While, Team BMR RCIB Insurance took Independent Teams' Trophy. And Josh Cook took the Jack Sears Trophy.
That's the end of 2015 British Touring Car Championship season. Contracts to the Champions in BTCC this season. And now for the 2016 Season.
