Doctors issued a short statement on Monday, and while it did not provide any new information, that in itself can be considered somewhat reassuring as at the very least, it seems there has be no further complications.
“The clinical state of Mr Michael Schumacher is considered as stable and is constantly monitored by the medical treatments that are administered to him. However, the medical team responsible underlines that they will not stop to consider Michael's condition as critical. The privacy of the patient demands that we are not going into details of his treatment, and this is why we do not plan any press conferences anymore for the time being.”
The missive also urged the media to 'stick to the information given by the medical team in charge of the patient or given by his management, as this is the only valid information', a reference to reports on Saturday that he was 'out of danger', something that prompted his spokesperson, Sabine Kehm to say much the same. Indeed the statement today is almost a carbon copy of that from January 4.
Meanwhile the prosecutors' that are investigating Schumacher's accident have confirmed they will hold a press conference this Wednesday [January 8] in Albertville and will reveal their initial findings then.
Kehm has already told the media she understands the German's fall was just 'very, very unfortunate' and a case of 'extreme bad luck'.
