Five predictions for 2014

Happy new year to all, first post of 2014. And this post is five predictions for 2014, if this happen or not this more of a fun post on what might happen.

Number 1, 13-0 for VW in the WRC this season.
This might not sound stupid as it seems. Last year Volkswagen won 10 Rally wins in the VW Polo R WRC with Sébastien Ogier and Jari-Matti Latvala. And this year in the WRC, with no Sébastien Loab at Citroen and weaker Citroen team and M-Sport team as-well. Also, a development year for Hyundai this season. Volkswagen doing a white wash of rally wins this season may happen.

Number 2, Nico Rosberg Formula 1 World Champion 2014.
This might not sound stupid as it seems as-well. Nico Rosberg Formula 1 World Champion this season, why? with the new turbo engines coming in this season and aerodynamics rules too it will be a fresh slate to all the teams. And rumour has it Mercedes has the most powerful engine. If Rosberg wins more races than in 2013, and if Rosberg car is reliable, and if Mercedes produce a fast race Nico Rosberg could win the 2014 F1 drivers' title ahead of Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso and his team-mate Lewis Hamilton.

Number 3, Toyota to win the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Really? yes really, here's the thing Porsche is returning as a manufacture to Le Mans this season. So we're going to see a VW civil war between Audi and Porsche to win this years World Endurance Championship and 24 hours of Le Mans race. And Toyota have not shown their new LMP1 contender compared to Audi and Porsche, it could be the year for Toyota to succeeded at Le Mans as the underdog.

Number 4, Nicky Hayden to score more points than the works Ducati riders.
Yet again this might not sound stupid as it seems. With Nicky Hayden leaving Ducati at the end of last season. This season his return back to Honda with Aspar with the new open spec RCV1000R . And last season Ducati was a very poor bike once again, and this season could be another repeat. Don't be surprise that Hayden will score more points than both Andrea Dovizioso and Cal Crutchlow in the standings. But, Nicky Hayden top in open class this season? more than likely either Scott Redding or Aleix Espargaró for that title.

Number 5, Marussia or Caterham finally scoring a point in Formula 1.
And my last prediction could be the most shocker of them all, with the new turbo engines coming in Formula 1 this season and aerodynamics rules too it will be a fresh slate to all the teams. And with that teams like Marussia and Caterham who have not scored world championship points in their four seasons so far, they might have the opportunity to score points this season with all the teams on a clear slate so be surprised if that happens.

As I said at the start of the post, this is a fun post on what might happen, would any prediction might happen? maybe one or two, I have to wait till late November to find out.

End of post for now, new post soon, bye.
