WRC Round 6 recap, and for once the winner wasn't named Sébastien

Last weekend was round six of the World Rally Championship at the Acropolis Rally in Greece (31st May-2nd June) and for once the winner wasn't named Sébastien this season, but instead it was Jari-Matti Latvala in the works Volkswagen Polo R WRC, to win the rally overall. While, works Citroën DS3 WRC driver Dani Sordo finished in second place, Sordo was nearly two minute behind Latvala at the end. While, Thierry Neuville finished in third place in the Qatar World Rally Team Ford Fiesta RS WRC. Neuville was over two minutes behind Latvala at the end of the rally.

Meanwhile in WRC-2 class (Group R5, R4, Super 2000 and Group N4 spec cars), that was won by none other than former Formula One driver Robert Kubica his Citroën backed Citroën DS3 RCC. Robert Kubica finished in eleventh place overall, he was over 15 minutes behind Latvala at the end of the rally.

While, Sébastien Loeb wasn't at the rally last weekend. He was testing with his new toy, the Peugeot 208 T16 at Le Mont-Ventoux in France, in practice for this months Pikes Peak event.
