Rebellion own LMP1 race car for 2014 season, with a little help from ORECA

This week, Rebellion Racing has announced that it will field its own LMP1 prototype race car when new regulations are introduced into the World Endurance Championship for next year called Rebellion R-One.

The privateer team, which currently runs the Lola B12/60-Toyota in the World Endurance Championship series, will work with French manufacturer ORECA on designing and developing on the new R-One.

No word yet on the engine. But, it's more than likely they will continue to use the same version of the Super GT-based 3.4-litre V8 the team currently uses for the Lola B12/60-Toyota which produces over 500 bhp.

So will the new Rebellion R-One can challenge the manufacturer teams from Audi, Toyota and Porsche for 2014? No, due to I believe that Audi, Toyota and Porsche have the resources and hybrid technologies which the R-One haven't have. But will the R-One will be top LMP1 privateer team, for sure. Good luck to Rebellion Racing for next season.

End of blog for how, new post soon. Bye.
