Quick review and thoughts on the race from last Sundays race (30/9/12) at the Aragón Motorcycle Grand Prix at Motorland Aragón in North East Spain.
The race itself was a very good race, from the start to the middle of the race battle between works Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo and Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa. Then mid-race, Dani Pedrosa took the lead from Jorge Lorenzo and took the win at Motorland Aragón, Dani Pedrosa is now 33 points behind Lorenzo in the standings with four races to go. Jorge Lorenzo meanwhile, on his works Yamaha finished second overall, six seconds behind, Pedrosa. While Andrea Dovizioso who had a race battle between Cal Crutchlow and Ben Spies, finished third a tenth of a second ahead of Tech 3 Yamaha team-mate Cal Crutchlow and finished eleven seconds behind Pedrosa.
Quick mention to Jonathan Rea on his works Repsol Honda, started seventh place, a second behind pole sitter Jorge Lorenzo and for Sundays race and did a solid job on the Repsol Honda, eventually taking a fine seventh place, thirty-five seconds behind Pedrosa atthe end. His last race for Repsol Honda for the team, and hope he be back for the 2014 season due to he has signed for Ten Kate Honda in World Superbikes for another season. Also, Casey Stoner is returning from injury for the next round at Motegi in Japan, so he will go out in style from his racing career.
In other news, yesterday (4/10/12) Power Electronics Aspar team has announced that they will retain both Randy de Puniet and Aleix Espargaro at Aspar for MotoGP 2013 season. The Aspar team will use the CRT Aprilia ART bikes once again as-well.
Anyway, end of post/blog for now, new one soon, bye.
