Review of Round six of the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship at Bahrain International Circuit in Bahrain. Audi Sport Team Joest team won the race overall and WEC LMP1 class too of André Lotterer, Marcel Fässler and Benoît Tréluyerto in their Audi R18 e-tron quattro. Second place was the second Audi of Allan McNish and Tom Kristensen in their Audi R18 e-tron quattro to make an Audi R18 e-tron quattro one-two. Meanwhile, the Strakka Racing team in their HPD ARX-03a with a Honda LM-V8 3.4 L V8 engine of Jonny Kane, Nick Leventis and Danny Watts finished in third place.
While, Toyota Racing team of Alexander Wurz and Nicolas Lapierre in their Toyota TS030 Hybrid did not finished due to an accident with another LMP1 car just before the fifth hour ended with damaged suspension, after an earlier technical issue had already denied the team a chance of victory.
In LMP2 class, the PeCom Racing team of Pierre Kaffer, Luís Pérez Companc and Nicolas Minassian in their Oreca 03 with a Nissan VK45DE 4.5 L V8 engine won in LMP2 class and 6th overall. While in GTE Pro class, was won by AF Corse team of Giancarlo Fisichella Toni Vilander and Gianmaria Bruni won in their Ferrari 458 GTC, finished 12th overall as-well. While in GTE Am class, was won by Team Felbermayr-Proton of Christian Ried, Gianluca Roda and Paolo Ruberti in their Porsche 997 GT3-RSR and finished 17th overall.
Sadly no race highlights I can not find on Youtube. So enjoy an image instead of the Audi R18's in the pits before the race start of the 6 hour race instead.
