Early in the day, Nico Hulkenberg is going to Sauber for 2013 season. This afternoon Scuderia Toro Rosso confirmed that they will retain Jean-Eric Vergne and Daniel Ricciardo for the 2013 Formula 1 season.
Despite, they have a poor car early on the season and both drivers are in their debut season. This is a good decision from Scuderia Toro Rosso to keep Jean-Eric Vergne and Daniel Ricciardo for another season at least in my opinion.
End of post for now, new post soon, bye.

Confirmed: Nico Hulkenberg going to Sauber for 2013 season
This morning it has been confirmed that Sauber has signed Nico Hulkenberg for the team for the 2013 Formula 1 season. But, no news yet who will be his team-mate. Rumours it will be either current Sauber driver Kamui Kobayashi or Sauber test-driver Esteban Gutiérrez, depends on who brings in the most sponsorship.
My opinion on Nico Hulkenberg going to Sauber next season, possibly a good decision from both sides, Sauber getting a talent like Hulkenberg, Hulkenberg moving to Sauber with the finical questions at Force India.
As for the second seat at Sauber, I would pick Kamui Kobayashi once again and Esteban Gutiérrez as a test-driver in Friday practice one in Grand Prix weekends, the same as Jules Bianchi at Force India and Valtteri Bottas at Williams done this season in my opinion.

2012 Indian Grand Prix Review, Vettel extends the lead and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix predictions
2012 Indian Grand Prix review of round seventeen of the F1 season at Buddh International Circuit, and predictions for this weekends Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Good points
Another dominating race weekend from the current world champion Sebastian Vettel in his Red Bull once again, took the lead at the start from pole to concluded with his fifth race win of the season, forth win in a row which is a new record for Sebastian Vettel. And with Fernando Alonso only finishing in second place. Which, gives Vettel extends the lead of the F1 driver championship by 13 points ahead of Fernando Alonso with only three races to go.
While in the constructor's championship, Red Bull still leading the standings with Vettel's race win, while Ferrari are still second in the constructors standings, now 91 points behind Red Bull. Which means Red Bull can win the constructor's championship in Abu Dhabi Grand Prix if Red Bull are 86 points ahead of second in the standings. While, McLaren are now 101 points behind Red Bull in the standings in third place with only three races to go.
And so this weekend is the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina Circuit outside of Abu Dhabi. Predictions for the race: Sebastian Vettel for the win in the Red Bull, ahead of team-mate Mark Webber in the other Red Bull. while Fernando Alonso will finished in third in the Ferrari. Don't forget the two McLaren drivers, Felipe Massa, the two Lotus drivers, the two Mercedes AMG as-well for a podium place too.

SLS AMG GT3 "45th Anniversary" edition
Basically, think of the SLS AMG GT3 "45th Anniversary" slimmer as a Ferrari 599XX as it is designed for track use only and is not street legal.
The SLS AMG GT3 "45th Anniversary" is a car that is build by AMG themselves celebrating 45 years of AMG. The car is an evolution from the SLS AMG GT3 race car, a ,ore powerful car than the GT3 race car producing 563 bhp from its AMG 6.2 litre V8 engine. Also, a lighter car as-well, that can go to 0-62 mph in under 3.5 seconds. Only costs £360,000 and only five will be ever made. Youtube video below of the car at the Ascari track in Spain with five times DTM champion and the developer of the car itself Bernd Schneider driving the SLS AMG GT3 "45th Anniversary". Enjoy.

MotoGP Malaysian Grand Prix review
Quick review on the race from last Sundays race (21/10/12) at the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix at Sepang International Circuit outside of Kuala Lumpur.
The race itself was a very wet and a good race as-well, from the start to the middle of the race battle between works Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo and Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa. Then mid-race, Dani Pedrosa took the lead from Jorge Lorenzo and took the win at Sepang after 14 laps, due to the race stop from heavy rain at mid-point. Dani Pedrosa is now 23 points behind Lorenzo in the standings with two races to go. Jorge Lorenzo meanwhile, on his works Yamaha finished second overall, four seconds behind, Pedrosa. While Casey Stoner on his Repsol Honda finished in third place, seven seconds behind Pedrosa.
With two races to go, Jorge Lorenzo can win the championship if his 26 points ahead of Pedrosa after the race at Philip Island. So Philip Island will be a make or brake for the MotoGP riders championship. End of post/blog for now, new one soon, bye.

New Jersey Grand Prix off for 2013, 2014 maybe?
The Grand Prix of America, scheduled to take place on a street circuit on the shores of the River Hudson in New York in June 2013, have announced that the race has been postponed until 2014 because of construction delays and permit problems.
Gutted to hear the news, no news yet if we gonna have 20 Grand Prixs on the F1 calendar next season. If it would be replace, possibly either the return of the Turkish Grand Prix or the French Grand Prix (either at Magny-Cours or Paul Ricard).
The closest we gonna have a New Jersey Grand Prix is this video below, from Red Bull them-selves created early in the summer with last years winning car and a David Coulthard.
Also, here is Pirelli Youtube video below, showing off their new 3D animation around the new loclation of the US Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas, in Austin, Texas.

It's official: Massa staying at Ferrari for another season
Ferrari announced on Tuesday (16/10/12) that Felipe Massa is staying with the team after signing a one-year extension to his current contract.
This is not unexpected news. With possibilities of early on the season that Mark Webber, Sergio Perez and Heikki Kovalainen may have been Fernando Alonso team-mate. And keeping Felipe Massa for another season is a good decision on Massa's recent form from his last few races in Formula one shows this season.
But, I think it will be Massa last season for Ferrari in 2013. With rumours that Sebastian Vettel will go to Ferrari alongside Fernando Alonso in 2014. Or Vettel's Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber which will be the more possibility to team up with Fernando Alonso in 2014 in my opinion. So, well done for Felipe Massa for staying at Ferrari for another season.

Last week Mini withdrawing from the WRC, this week Ford withdrawing from the WRC
As the title says last week Mini announced withdrawing from the WRC, this week Ford is withdrawing from the WRC at the end of the season. A statement issued by Ford of Europe on Monday said that the decision had been taken due to the current economic climate in Europe, similar what BMW/Mini announced last Friday. But, M-Sport which has run Ford's factory squad since 1997 and taken 52 wins in the WRC, as well as the manufacturers' world championships in 2006 and '07. Who also builds the latest Fiesta RS WRC for Ford, will continue in the WRC in a lesser scale. And will continue development of Fiesta RS WRC for next year at least.
My opinion I think it's a sad decision from Ford that they are leaving the WRC at the end of the season. I don't believe that Ford reason is the current economic climate in Europe, I believe more on what Ford haven't achieved within the last 15 years. No drivers championships (should have won four with a few what ifs: McRae 2001, Gronholm 06-2007, Hirvonen 2009), 52 WRC wins and only two manufacturers' world championships in that period. I hope that Ford would have stayed for another year at least. I do hope M-Sport does succeed well next season with the Fiesta RS WRC.
I do hope that Ford does return to the WRC one day, I believe Ford is a great brand for the WRC. At least Citroen, VW and Hyundai are going no where from the WRC at least for a year.
Anyway, end of post for now. New post soon. Bye.

DeltaWing back in racing this weekend or is it not?
The first time since this years Le Mans 24 hour race. The DeltaWing will be completing in this weekends 2012 Petit Le Mans race at Road Atlanta on the last round of this seasons ALMS. As it did at this year's Le Mans 24 Hours race, Nissan DeltaWing is set to run unclassified at Road Atlanta as a factory-backed entry.
But, would it race? In practice for the Petit Le Mans race, the DeltaWing team is in fightback mode after DeltaWing driver Gunnar Jeannette was forced into a roll after a 7G impact from a GTE-Am spec Porsche GTC (the Porsche drivers fault as this video below shows, he should be disqualified from the race weekend in my opinion, it could have been crashed from a professional driver)
Without that the practice incedent. There is strong possibility that the The American Le Mans Series sanctioning body IMSA revealed that the DeltaWing would compete as a fully classified car in the 2013 ALMS season. Which, I believe it's good news. Because, this car should be in any series/category it can get into like for example LMP2 in ALMS would be a good place for the car to race in.
End of blog for how, new post soon. Bye.

MotoGP Japanese Grand Prix thoughts and Alvaro Bautista staying at Gresini for another season
Quick thoughts on the race from Sundays race at the Japanese Grand Prix at Motegi and thoughts on Alvaro Bautista staying at Gresini for another season.
The race itself was a very good race, from the start to the middle of the race battle between works Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo and Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa. Then mid-race, Dani Pedrosa took the lead from Jorge Lorenzo and took the win at Motegi (on Honda home race as-well, which they own the track), Dani Pedrosa is now 28 points behind Lorenzo in the standings with three races to go. Jorge Lorenzo meanwhile, on his works Yamaha finished second overall, four and a half seconds behind, Pedrosa. While Cal Crutchlow would have finished third of his Tech 3 Yamaha. But, his bike run out of fuel of the last lap while he was in third place unlucky had to retire on the last lap. Which, allows Alvaro Bautista to finish in third place on his works Honda Gresini. Seven seconds behind Pedrosa at the end of the race.
Also, quick mention to Casey Stoner on his Repsol Honda, first since his ankle injury at Indianapolis. Started from the second row pole for Sundays race and did a solid job on his Repsol Honda, running with the leaders throughout the race and eventually taking a fine fifth place, 21 seconds behind team-mate Dani Pedrosa at the end.
Last week, it was announced last Friday (12/10/12) that Alvaro Bautista will be staying at Gresini Honda team for another season, until the end of the 2013 season. My opinion is a good decision from Gresini for keeping Alvaro Bautista till the end of 2013. Had a difficult job this season from the former Suzuki rider, replacing the late Marco Simoncelli. Only got a pole postion and two podiums so far this season, despite being the only Gresini rider having a MotoGP spec prototype machine this season (Gresini team-mate Michele Pirro on a CRT machine). Also, there was rumours a few months back that Jonathan Rea or Scott Reading may got the ride instead of Alvaro Bautista for next season. So, well done Gresini for keeping faith with Alvaro Bautista, personally Alvaro Bautista is a talented rider with a lot to prove.

Remembering Lola Cars 1958-2012, Top six Lola race cars of all time
Last week the news that Lola Cars are no more. On 16 May 2012 it was reported that Lola Cars was entering administration. The administrator, CCW Recovery Solutions, was unable to find a suitable buyer and the firm ceased trading on 5 October 2012, with debts totaling more than £20 million.
With the company established in 1958, Lola cars have been accoated with designing and developing Formula 1 cars, Le Mans Prototype race cars, Indy Cars that won the Indianapolis 500 and Indycar championships and single fourmula classes (such as the A1GP race car above) in its 64 year history. And with the announcement of its closer last week it's a bad day for the British Motorsport industry and the Motorsport industry altogether in my opinion and it will be deeply missed in Le Mans sport car Prototypes (LMP1 and LMP2 race cars) (such as the Rebellion Racing, Lola B12/60 Toyota 3.4 litre V8 that raced at Le Mans this year, image below.)
To celebrate Lola Cars history, I am going to do a Lola's top six race cars of all time staring with....
Number 6: 1990 Lola LC90
Story: The car was designed and built by Lola for the Larrousse Formula 1 team, the car never won a grand prix with its 3.5 litre Lamborghini V12. But, their best race came at the 1990 Japanese Grand Prix were Aguri Suzuki finished third place and became the first Japanese driver ever to be on a Formula 1 podium. The team finished sixth in constructors standings with eleven points.
Number 5: 1967 Lola T130 (Honda RA300)
Story: Based on a previous Lola T90 that won the 1966 Indianapolis 500. The chassis was designed by Lola, Lola called it T130. But, really it raced as the Honda RA300 because Honda was the constructor. This collaboration resulted in the machine being quickly dubbed the "Hondola" by the motorsports press in 1967. Also, with a Honda 3 litre V12 inside the Lola T130 producing over 400 bhp. Only raced for four Grand Prixs, won on its debut race with 1964 F1 world champion John Surtees driving the car at the 1967 Italian Grand Prix. Lola only Formula 1 win (well sort of).
Number 4: 1964 Ford GT40
Story: The original Ford GT40 was designed and developed by Lola designers in 1963 with the Ford 4.2 litre V8 included. Then in 1964, Carroll Shelby took over the project put in his tuned Shelby Ford 7.0 litre V8 to make the Mark IV and the rest is history with four outright Le Mans 24 wins with the Ford GT40 (1966-69) ahead of Ferraris' and Porsches' at that period of time.
Number 3: 1978 Lola T500
Story: A 2.65 litre turbo Cosworth DFV V8 engine under the Lola T500, winning the 1978 Indianapolis 500 with Al Unser Sr. Also, winning the Pocono 500 for Al Unser Sr. and the California 500 for Al Unser Sr. Sweeping the "triple crown" of Indy car racing, making Al Unser Sr. the only driver in history to do this achievement.
Number 2: 1966 Lola T70 MkIII
Story: The Lola T70 was an evolution from the original Ford GT40. The Lola T70 MkIII won the first ever Can-Am championship with 1964 F1 world champion John Surtees at the wheel. The Lola T70 MkIII had a 5.0 litre Chevrolet V8 underneath to won 1966 Can-Am championship. Also, T70 MkIIIb won the 1969 24 hours of Daytona race for Penske Racing that year as-well.
Number 1: 1966 Lola T90
Story: The Lola T90 had a 4.2-litre 4-cam Ford V8 underneath. And In the hands of 1962 and 1968 F1 World Champion Graham Hill gives Lola its first ever Indianapolis 500 win in 1966.
And so here's the History books for Lola cars, never forgotten.

The Joke that just keeps on giving, Mini to withdraw backing for works WRC team at end of 2012 season
Eight months ago, Mini announced that Prodrive will no longer run its manufacturer entry in the World Rally Championship, now on be a works-supported private team. Mini agreed that time the Motorsport Italia-run WRC Team Mini Portugal will contest the remaining rounds of the WRC as the works Mini manufacturer entry team, with Armindo Araujo (later on the season replaced by Chris Atkinson) and Paulo Nobre driving, with Prodrive reduced to the position of a works-supported privateer.
With today's news, Mini has announced that it is to terminate its works involvement in the World Rally Championship at the end of the 2012 season. Which means the Motorsport Italia-run WRC Team Mini Portugal outfit will no longer be the manufacturer entry team anymore but Mini said that it remains committed to rallying and that BMW Motorsport would continue to develop the car’s 1.6 turbo engine in conjunction with Prodrive. Meanwhile, Prodrive will still development programme for both the Mini Countrymen John Cooper Works WRC and S2000 cars next year and will continue to work towards a full programme with the Mini Countrymen John Cooper Works WRC next year. So next season any Mini's does show up in any rounds will be only privateer teams.
My opinion eight months ago was that "Mini brand is a complete joke, splitting up with Prodrive for WRC program as a works team, a complete shot in the foot for Mini". When you looking a Prodrive WRC history is great, winning with Subaru with both Legacy and Impreza cars. And winning rallies with Tommi Makkinen and Juha Kankkunen. And WRC titles wins with the late Colin McRae, the late Richard Burns and Petter Solberg. A bad decision from Mini in that period of time.
I also said: "I can't see Motorsport Italia-run WRC Team Mini Portugal winning a WRC round let alone a top 6 finish in a WRC round."
Which, they have drove me wrong at Rallye Deutschland when Chris Atkinson finished fifth in the rally.
With todays news this is good news in ways they ain't surportting the WRC Team Mini Portugal team anymore. But, personally a complete and utter joke for that brand not continuing as a works team. At least Citroen, VW, Hyundai and Ford are going no where from the WRC.
But, I wish that Mini and Prodrive didn't split up as a works team early on the season and continue for the 2013 season as-well. Because I feel that the Prodrive and Mini partnership would have worked well, Dani Sordo would have been top six in WRC drivers championship standings at this stage of the season, a few more podiums this season as-well and maybe fighting for rally wins. Next season with the news from two weeks back that Sébastien Loeb having announced that he will go part-time in 2013 before a probable switch to the World Touring Car Championship from 2014. Could be a great time for Mini and Prodrive to win a few rallies and maybe a shot on the WRC drivers and manufactures titles with the right people driving the car.
At the end of the day, Mini is still in rally in some sort of way. But some of the upper management at BMW and Mini are a complete joke with this rally project. Anyway, end of post for now. New post soon. Bye.

A street-legal Formula Ford race car around the Nurburgring Nordschleife faster than a Lamborghini Aventador!
Essentially a Formula Ford race car with brake lights, front lights, mud guards, semi-slick tyres, number plates and a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder Ecoboost engine which basically a street-legal Formula Ford race car. So around the Nurburgring Nordschleife how fast than? 7 minutes, 22 seconds that is faster than a Lamborghini Aventador round the Nurburgring Nordschleife!
That's right it clocked a time around the Nordschleife at 7 minutes 22 seconds with an Ecoboost engine and that's faster than a Lamborghini Aventador, Ferrari Enzo and original Pagani Zonda.
The Formula Ford lap was completed by Nick Tandy. The car weighs only 500 kg (only 25 kg heavier than a DeltaWing!), Usually in the Formula Ford race car has a 1.6 litre four-cylinder turbo Ecoboost engine producing 158 bhp. But, this car has a 1 litre three-cylinder turbo with the engine's ECU been modified from 123 bhp to 202 bhp, which means a top speed of 158 mph and 0-62 mph in 4 seconds. Even Ford is claiming that the EcoBoost-1 litre engine in the Formula Ford does 118 mpg at 35 mph and 57 mpg at 75mph. Personal opinion an incredible achievement what they done making it street-legal and then making it faster than a Lamborgini Aventador. And secondly stick that engine into a old skool Mini Copper, that what I like to see. Also, thirdly and last stick it on the Top Gear track too.
There is some YouTube videos below of Ford deeloping and testing at the street-legal Formula Ford car at the Nordschleife.
End of post for now. New post soon. Bye.

Talk about Talladega nights!
Meanwhile at Talladega Superspeedway last weekend, round 30 of the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500.
Final lap drama when Matt Kenseth won the Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500 for Roush Fenway Racing in his Ford Fusion and won his second race win of the season. While, Jeff Gordon finished second and Kyle Busch finished third. Behind that at least 25 cars bagged the Big One (a NASCAR phrase describing any accident involving roughly eight or more cars in NASCAR stock car racing) which includes and started from bore Tony Stewart and Michael Waltrip, when Tony Stewart ending up flying in turn four as cars were oncoming as this YouTube video shows. Thankfully, no one was injured and that's NASCAR for yah.
And yes the title above is a reference to that film called Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby starring Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Sacha Baron Cohen and the late Michael Clarke Duncan.
Anyway. End of blog/post for now, new post soon. That is all. Bye.

2012 Japanese Grand Prix Review and thoughts, Vettel vs Alonso it's now on and Korean Grand Prix predictions
2012 Japanese Grand Prix review of round fifteen of the F1 season at Suzuka, and thoughts on the race, and predictions for this weekends Korean Grand Prix.
Good points
Bad points
A dominating race weekend from the current world champion Sebastian Vettel in his Red Bull, pole on Saturday to finished with a race win on Sunday and fastest lap too his third win of the season. And with Fernando Alonso having a first lap tagged with Kimi Raikkonen, which concluded with left rear puncture, which gives Alonso his second DNF of the season. Which, gives Vettel now only 4 points behind Alonso in the driver standings, Kimi Räikkönen now only 37 points behind Alonso and Lewis Hamilton only 42 points behind Alonso in the drivers championship with five races to go.
Also, quick mentions to both Felipe Massa and Kamui Kobayashi. Felipe Massa despite starting from 10th place, finished in a brilliant 2nd place, possibly one of his best races since Brazil 2008 and possibly that result might saved Felipe Massa another season at Ferrari.
Meanwhile, Kamui Kobayashi finished 3rd, on his home Grand Prix to become the third Japanese F1 driver ever to be on a F1 podium (after Aguri Suzuki at Suzuka 1990 for Lola-Lamborghini; Takuma Sato at Indianapolis 2004 for BAR Honda). There is also rumours that Kamui Kobayashi may not have a drive at Sauber next season with rumours of Nico Hülkenberg and Esteban Gutiérrez will be driving for Sauber. Personally, if I was the Sauber team I would keep Kamui Kobayashi for another season, his proof it on his home Grand Prix yesterday.
While in the constructor's championship, Red Bull still leading the standings with Vettel's race win, while McLaren are still second in the constructors standings, from 36 points now 41 points behind Red Bull. Ferrari are now 61 points behind Red Bull in the standings in third place with five races to go.
And so this weekend is the Korean Grand Prix at Korea International Circuit in Yeongam, South Jeolla. Predictions for the race: Sebastian Vettel for the win in the Red Bull, ahead of team-mate Mark Webber in the other Red Bull. while Fernando Alonso will finished in third in the Ferrari. Don't forget the two McLaren drivers, Felipe Massa, the two Lotus drivers, the two Mercedes AMG or the two Sauber drivers as-well for a podium place too.
End of blog/post for how, new post soon. Bye.

WRC Round 11 Recap, Loab and Citroen are WRC champions for another season
Recap of last round of WRC from this weekends round 11 of Rallye de France–Alsace.
This weekends was round 11 of the World Rally Championship at the Rallye de France–Alsace (5th-7th October) was won by home favourite Sébastien Loeb in his works Citroen DS3 to win the rally and to clinched his ninth - and most likely last - World Rally Championship title in a row. With the news last week that Sébastien Loeb having announced that he will go part-time in 2013 before a probable switch to the World Touring Car Championship from 2014, this season turned out to be his rivals last chance to try and beat him to a championship in a full season, and no one could. So, contractions to Sébastien Loab winning his ninth WRC drivers title in a row. But, I do hop Loab does change his mind for one season and go for a tenth WRC title in a row and that will be a great ending in his WRC career.
Meanwhile, Ford rally driver Jari-Matti Latvala finished second in his Ford Feista RS, 15 seconds behind Loab. While, Mikko Hirvonen in his works Citroen DS3 finished third, 44 second behind Loeb at the end. Which also, gives Citroen their eighth WRC manufacturers' championship in ten seasons. So, contractions to Citroen for winning their eighth manufactures' title.
Highlights of Rallye de France–Alsace below, enjoy.
Contracts to the champions for another season. End of post for now. New post soon. Bye.

MotoGP Aragón Grand Prix review, thoughts and news
Quick review and thoughts on the race from last Sundays race (30/9/12) at the Aragón Motorcycle Grand Prix at Motorland Aragón in North East Spain.
The race itself was a very good race, from the start to the middle of the race battle between works Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo and Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa. Then mid-race, Dani Pedrosa took the lead from Jorge Lorenzo and took the win at Motorland Aragón, Dani Pedrosa is now 33 points behind Lorenzo in the standings with four races to go. Jorge Lorenzo meanwhile, on his works Yamaha finished second overall, six seconds behind, Pedrosa. While Andrea Dovizioso who had a race battle between Cal Crutchlow and Ben Spies, finished third a tenth of a second ahead of Tech 3 Yamaha team-mate Cal Crutchlow and finished eleven seconds behind Pedrosa.
Quick mention to Jonathan Rea on his works Repsol Honda, started seventh place, a second behind pole sitter Jorge Lorenzo and for Sundays race and did a solid job on the Repsol Honda, eventually taking a fine seventh place, thirty-five seconds behind Pedrosa atthe end. His last race for Repsol Honda for the team, and hope he be back for the 2014 season due to he has signed for Ten Kate Honda in World Superbikes for another season. Also, Casey Stoner is returning from injury for the next round at Motegi in Japan, so he will go out in style from his racing career.
In other news, yesterday (4/10/12) Power Electronics Aspar team has announced that they will retain both Randy de Puniet and Aleix Espargaro at Aspar for MotoGP 2013 season. The Aspar team will use the CRT Aprilia ART bikes once again as-well.

Mercedes to Enter V8 Supercars in 2013 - but, will not receive any factory support
Back in mid February, Nissan comfirmed it will Enter V8 Supercars in 2013, under its new rules ‘Car of the Future’. Three weeks back, the news that Mercedes will join the V8 Supercars Championship in 2013 as the forth manufacture in the series (well sort of).
One of V8 Supercars’ longest serving teams Stone Brothers Racing will merge with Austrian GT championship team Erebus Motorsport to run three Mercedes-Benz AMG E Class V8 Supercars in the Championship from 2013.
Unlike Nissan, who will enter Kelly Racing as Nissan's factory team and will run four cars next year. But, Erebus Motorsport will not not be an official factory-backed effort for Mercedes but will be a privately funded team instead. similar to a few BTCC teams on the grid who build the car themselves, but not manufactured supported.
Early in the season I hoped that Nissan will bring the Nissan GT-R in a V8 spec car will be nice in my opinion, like they do in GT1-World Championship last season. But, recently been annocced that Nissan will bring in the Nissan Altima instead. Also Kelly Racing, who will run the four works Nissan Altima next season, will be renamed to Nissan Motorsport next season.
By the way, this weekend is the famous Bathurst 1000 race on the famous Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales. Highlights of last years race below, enjoy.

Confirmed: Michael Schumacher to retire at the end of 2012
Following last week's announcement that Lewis Hamilton will replace Michael Schumacher at Mercedes next season. It was announced this morning at a press conference at Suzuka that Michael Schumacher will retire from Formula 1 at the end of the 2012 season.
Since last week that Lewis Hamilton will replace Michael Schumacher at Mercedes next season. Speculation had linked Schumacher to a move to Sauber. But, instead the former seven F1 world champion decided to retire at the end of the season.
Like I said a few months back, apart of some great qualifying performances which includes Monaco and China, and the race performance at Valencia to finish in third place, the last two and a half seasons is has been unsuccessful return into Formula One in my opinion. Due to he hasn't won a race in the last two and half season so far and for the last two and half seasons Nico Rosberg has beaten the old seven times world champion time and time again. To me, he should retire for good at the end of the season in my opinion. I think Michael has done the right decision, if not it might ruin his legacy even more if he stayed.
In my opinion is the best driver I have ever seen in Formula 1 despite the last two and half seasons. I hope Michael will stay in motorsports in some sort of way, such as a role in Ferrari/Mercedes ambassador or race for Mercedes in DTM or World GT1 in 2013 because he can still be a big help in that region.
I hope, when we get to the last round at Sao Paulo, Brazil in late November that Michael Schumacher does have another repeat what he did in Brazil 2006 (the first time he retired from F1) does a performance to remember him by.
Six more races to go for Michael Schumacher for good starting with Suzuka this weekend. Anyway end of post/blog for now. New post/blog soon. Bye.

2012 6 Hours of Bahrain Review
Review of Round six of the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship at Bahrain International Circuit in Bahrain. Audi Sport Team Joest team won the race overall and WEC LMP1 class too of André Lotterer, Marcel Fässler and Benoît Tréluyerto in their Audi R18 e-tron quattro. Second place was the second Audi of Allan McNish and Tom Kristensen in their Audi R18 e-tron quattro to make an Audi R18 e-tron quattro one-two. Meanwhile, the Strakka Racing team in their HPD ARX-03a with a Honda LM-V8 3.4 L V8 engine of Jonny Kane, Nick Leventis and Danny Watts finished in third place.
While, Toyota Racing team of Alexander Wurz and Nicolas Lapierre in their Toyota TS030 Hybrid did not finished due to an accident with another LMP1 car just before the fifth hour ended with damaged suspension, after an earlier technical issue had already denied the team a chance of victory.
In LMP2 class, the PeCom Racing team of Pierre Kaffer, Luís Pérez Companc and Nicolas Minassian in their Oreca 03 with a Nissan VK45DE 4.5 L V8 engine won in LMP2 class and 6th overall. While in GTE Pro class, was won by AF Corse team of Giancarlo Fisichella Toni Vilander and Gianmaria Bruni won in their Ferrari 458 GTC, finished 12th overall as-well. While in GTE Am class, was won by Team Felbermayr-Proton of Christian Ried, Gianluca Roda and Paolo Ruberti in their Porsche 997 GT3-RSR and finished 17th overall.
Sadly no race highlights I can not find on Youtube. So enjoy an image instead of the Audi R18's in the pits before the race start of the 6 hour race instead.
Next Stop 6 Hours of Fuji in two weeks time for round seven of the FIA World Endurance Championship. End of post/blog for now, bye.
