It was confirmed on the eve of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (17/11/22), that Aston Martin Reserve driver Nico Hülkenberg will race with Haas F1 Team as their second driver for 2023 season alongside Kevin Magnussen and replacing fellow German compatriot Mick Schumacher.
Hülkenberg only race two rounds this season subbing in for an ill Sebasian Vettel, currently sits twenty-second in the Drivers' Standings, with his best race finish of twelfth place at Jeddah.
In my opinion, this is not a big surprise this news happen. It has been strongly rumoured since the Belgain Grand Prix that Hülkenberg was wanted by Haas.
Its great news for the Haas team as they have got an experience Grand Prix driver.
So what's next for Mick Schumacher? a return to Ferrari as a test-driver is not going to happen as his Ferrari Development contract is not going to be renewed, there is a some possiblity that a reverse drive at Mercedes could be his best option going into 2023.
Things are looking up for the Haas team in 2023.
