Recap of the last round of WRC from last weekends Round Thirteen of Rally Japan.
Last weekends was the thirteenth round of the World Rally Championship at the Rally Japan (10th-13th November), and that was won by Thierry Neuville in his works Hyundai i20 N Rally1.
While, Ott Tänak finished second in his works Hyundai i20 N Rally1, Tänak was seventy-one seconds behind Neuville at the end of the rally. Meanwhile, Takamoto Katsuta finished third in his works Toyota GR Yaris Rally1, Katsuta was two minutes behind Neuville at the end of the rally.
Meanwhile in WRC-2 class (Manufacturer entries competing in cars built to Rally2 specifications), that was won by Grégoire Munster in his own backed Hyundai i20 N Rally2. Grégoire Munster finished in seventh place overall, he was eight minutes behind Neuville at the end of the rally.
While, Toksport WRT 2 driver Emil Lindholm in his Škoda Fabia Rally2 evo finished third in WRC-2 class. Emil Lindholm finished in ninth place overall, he was eight and half minutes behind Neuville at the end of the rally. With that result, Emil Lindholm was enough to clinched the WRC2 Championship this season in his Škoda Fabia Rally2 evo, contracts to Emil Lindholm and co-driver Reeta Hämäläinen for winning this years WRC2 championship.
Finally, former McLaren and Renault F1 driver Heikki Kovalainen in his Škoda Fabia R5 finished fourth in WRC-2 class. Heikki Kovalainen finished in tenth place overall, he was nine minutes behind Neuville at the end of the rally.
And so this years champions, WRC champions: Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia, WRC Manufacturers' Champions: Toyota. WRC-2 Champions: Emil Lindholm and Reeta Hämäläinen, and WRC-3 Champions: Lauri Joona.
