Review of the eighth round of the 2022 F1 season at Baku City Circuit in the the centre of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
The race will be the race that Charles Leclerc should have won (a repeat from Spain). Leclerc was on pole for Sunday's race ahead of Sergio Pérez and Max Verstappen.
This time, Pérez took the lead at the start ahead of Leclerc and Verstappen. Although, Leclerc overtook Pérez during pitstops, until Lap 20 when Leclerc forced to retire with a broken turbo once more. Which, give Current Formula 1 Champion Max Verstappen the advantage, leading on lap 21 from team-mate Sergio Pérez to the end to conclude with a race win in this seasons Azerbaijan Grand Prix and redemption from last year for Max Verstappen's fifth race win of the season.
While, Sergio Pérez finished in second place in the other Red Bull to complete a third Red Bull one-two finish of the season, Pérez was twenty-one seconds behind Verstappen at the end.
Meanwhile, George Russell finished in third place in the Mercedes to complete the podium, Russell was forty-six seconds behind Verstappen at the end of the fifty-one lap race.
