2022 Dutch MotoGP Review, Rider News

Review of the eleventh round of the 2022 MotoGP season at TT Circuit Assen, Assen in North East of Holland.

In the MotoGP race (V-twin, V4, or Inline-four 1000cc four stroke class), that was won by Ducati Lenovo Team rider Francesco Bagnaia on his works Ducati Desmosedici GP22.



Second was Mooney VR46 Racing Team rider Marco Bezzecchi on his Ducati Desmosedici GP21, he was four tenths of a second behind Bagnaia at the end. While, third was Aprilia Racing rider Maverick Viñales on his works Aprilia RS-GP, he was twelve tenths of a second behind Bagnaia at the end.

In the Moto2 race (Inline-three 765cc four-stroke class), that race was won by Red Bull KTM Ajo rider Augusto Fernández on the Kalax. Second was Idemitsu Honda Team Asia rider Ai Ogura on the Kalax, he was six tenths of a second behind Fernández at the end. While, third was GasGas Aspar Team rider Jake Dixon on the Kalax, he was seven tenths of a second behind Fernández at the end.

While in the Moto3 race (single-cylinder 250 cc four-stroke class), that race was won by Sterilgarda Husqvarna Max rider Ayumu Sasaki on the Husqvarna. Second was GasGas Aspar Team rider Izan Guevara on the Gas Gas, he was three tenths of a second behind Sasaki at the end of the race. While, third was GasGas Aspar Team rider Sergio García on the Gas Gas, he was four tenths of a second behind Sasaki at the end of the race.

Finally in the MotoE races (a single make class with all the riders riding the Energica Ego MotoE bike), Saturday race was won by Dynavolt Intact GP rider Dominique Aegerter. Second was LCR E-Team rider Eric Granado, he was seven hundredths of a second behind Aegerter at the end. While, third was Pons Racing 40 rider Mattia Casadei, he was a tenth of a second behind Aegerter at the end.

For Sunday race was won by LCR E-Team rider Eric Granado. Second was Dynavolt Intact GP rider Dominique Aegerter, he was three tenths of a second behind Granado at the end. While, third was Pons Racing 40 rider Mattia Casadei, he was six tenths of a second behind Granado at the end.

Finally, it was also confirmed on Sunday (27/5/22), Gresini MotoGP team will retain Fabio Di Giannantonio and hire Álex Márquez for 2023 MotoGP season.



Di Giannantonio currently sits twentieth in the championship, with a best finish of eighth place in Germany last week. While, Márquez replaces Ducati bound Enea Bastianini, Márquez currently sits eighteenth in the championship, with a best finish of seventh place in Portugal back in April.
