2022 24 Hours of Le Mans Review, Toyota wins again for a fifth time

As the title says above a 24 Hours of Le Mans Review of the race. Round Three of the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship at Le Mans. And this years 24 hours of Le Mans race will be remembered for the race for Toyota winning their fifth outright win at Le Mans.

The Toyota Gazoo Racing team won the race overall and the Hypercar class too of Sébastien Buemi, Ryō Hirakawa and Brendon Hartleyin their Toyota GR010 Hybrid; Toyota 3.5 L Turbo V6 and managed to do 380 laps altogether in warm conditions to win this years 24 Hours of Le Mans race.



While, second place was the other Toyota Gazoo Racing to complete a Toyota one-two finish, with the team of Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and José María López in their Toyota GR010 Hybrid; Toyota 3.5 L Turbo V6; they were two minutes behind the leaders at the end of the race. Meanwhile, third place was the Glickenhaus Racing, with the team of Ryan Briscoe, Franck Mailleux and Richard Westbrook in their Glickenhaus SCG 007 LMH, Glickenhaus 3.5 L Turbo V8; they were five lap behind the leaders at the end of the race.

In LMP2 class (all cars using the Gibson 4.2 L V8 engine), Jota team of António Félix da Costa, Roberto González, and Will Stevens in their Oreca 07 won LMP2 class. They finish in fifth place overall and they were eleven laps behind the leaders at the end of the race.

In LMP2 Pro-Am Cup Class (all cars using the Gibson 4.3 L V8 engine and a team must have a Bronze-rated driver in their line-up) Algarve Pro Racing team of James Allen, René Binder and Steven Thomas in their Oreca 07 won LMP2 Pro-Am class. They finish in nineteenth place overall and they were seventeen laps behind the leaders at the end of the race.

While in GTE Pro class, was won by Porsche GT Team of Gianmaria Bruni, Richard Lietz and Frédéric Makowiecki won in their Porsche 911 RSR-19. They finish in twenty-eighth place overall and they were thirty laps behind the leaders at the end of the race.

While in GTE Am class, was won by TF Sport team of Henrique Chaves, Ben Keating and Marco Sørensenin their Aston Martin Vantage AMR. They finish in thirty-fourth place overall and they were thirty-seven laps behind the leaders at the end of the race.
