2022 BTCC Round 4 Recap

Review of Round Four of the 2022 British Touring Car Championship season was at Oulton Park's Island Circuit, in Cheshire.

In the first race, Bristol Street Motors with Excelr8 TradePriceCars.com driver Tom Ingram took the race win in his Hyundai i30 Fastback N Performance. Second was NAPA Racing UK driver and current BTCC Champion Ash Sutton in his Ford Focus ST, he was three seconds behind Ingram in the end. While third place was Toyota Gazoo Racing UK driver Rory Butcher in his Toyota Corolla GR Sport, he was seven seconds behind behind Ingram in the end.

Meanwhile, Independents class was won by Rich Energy BTC Racing driver driver Josh Cook in his Honda Civic Type R, he finished in eighth place and was nine seconds behind Ingram in the end.

While, Jack Sears Trophy (for drivers yet to record an overall podium finish or won outright the Jack Sears Trophy championship) was won by Autobrite Direct with JourneyHero driver Bobby Thompson in his Cupra León, he finished in fifteenth place and was seventeen and half seconds behind Ingram in the end.




Meanwhile in the second race, Bristol Street Motors with Excelr8 TradePriceCars.com driver Tom Ingram took the race win in his Hyundai i30 Fastback N Performance. Second was NAPA Racing UK driver and current BTCC Champion Ash Sutton in his Ford Focus ST, he was a second behind Ingram in the end. While third place was Team BMW driver Colin Turkington in his BMW 330e M Sport, he was two seconds behind Ingram in the end.

Meanwhile, Independents class was won by Rich Energy BTC Racing driver driver Josh Cook in his Honda Civic Type R, he finished in ninth place and was fifteen seconds behind Ingram in the end.

While, Jack Sears Trophy was won by Autobrite Direct with JourneyHero driver Bobby Thompson in his Cupra León, he finished in fourteenth place and was twenty-one seconds behind Ingram in the end.




Finally in the third race, Team BMW driver Stephen Jelley took the race win in his BMW 330e M Sport. Second was Laser Tools Racing driver Aiden Moffat in his Infiniti Q50 and also took Independents class win, he was fifteen tenths of a second behind Jelley in the end. While third place was Rich Energy BTC Racing driver driver Josh Cook in his Honda Civic Type R, he was four seconds behind Jelley in the end.

While, Jack Sears Trophy was won by CarStore Power Maxed Racing driver Ash hand in his Vauxhall Astra, he finished in ninth place and was eleven and half seconds behind Jelley in the end.




Next stop Croft for Round Five of the 2022 British Touring Car Championship season in two weeks time.
