2021 Monaco Grand Prix Review

Review of the fifth round of the 2021 F1 season on the streets of Monte Carlo, for the Monaco Grand Prix.

It was a dominating race from Max Verstappen, although could have been different. Charles Leclerc qualified on pole despite crashing in the final minutes of qualifying. Come pre-race, Leclerc had a driveshaft failure (caused by cracked left-rear wheel hub), there was not enough time to repair the problem before the race, and thus Leclerc did not start the Grand Prix. Which left the pole position empty. This left Max Verstappen, who started on the front row as-well, to take the advantage at the start and comfortably lead the race throughout, leading all the seventy-eight laps to win this seasons Monaco Grand Prix for Max Verstappen's second race win of the season.

While, Carlos Sainz Jr. finished in second place in the Ferrari, Sainz Jr. was nine seconds behind Verstappen at the end.

Meanwhile, Lando Norris finished in third place in the McLaren to complete the podium, Norris was nineteen seconds behind Verstappen at the end of the seventy-eight lap race.

Highlights of the race below, enjoy.
