2021 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps Review

Review of Round One of the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship at Spa-Francorchamps.

The Toyota Gazoo Racing team won the race overall and the Hypercar class too of Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Kazuki Nakajima in their Toyota GR010 Hybrid; Toyota 3.5 L Turbo V6. While, second place was the Alpine Elf Matmut, with the team of Nicolas Lapierre, André Negrão and Matthieu Vaxivière in their Alpine A480, Gibson 4.5 L V8; they were sixty-seven seconds behind the leaders at the end of the race. Meanwhile, third place was the Toyota Gazoo Racing team, with the team of Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and José María López in their Toyota GR010 Hybrid; Toyota 3.5 L Turbo V6; they were a lap behind the leaders at the end of the race.

In LMP2 class (all cars using the Gibson 4.2 L V8 engine), United Autosports USA team of Filipe Albuquerque, Philip Hanson and Fabio Scherer in their Oreca 07 won LMP2 class. They finish in fourth place overall and they were a lap behind the leaders at the end of the race.

While in GTE Pro class, was won by Porsche GT Team team of Kévin Estre and Neel Jani won in their Porsche 911 RSR-19. They finish in fifteenth place overall and they were five laps behind the leaders at the end of the race.

While in GTE Am class, was won by AF Corse team of Nicklas Nielsen, François Perrodo and Alessio Rovera in their Ferrari 488 GTE Evo. They finish in twentieth place overall and they were ten laps behind the leaders at the end of the race.
