Confirmed: Sebastian Vettel joins Aston Martin F1 Team for 2021 season on a multi-year deal

It was confirmed today on the eve of the Tuscan Grand Prix weekend (10/9/20), that Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel has signed on a multi-year deal (rumoured till the end of 2023) to replace Sergio Pérez at Aston Martin F1 Team (Racing Point) from the 2021 season, alongside Lance Stroll, completing the team's driver line-up for 2021.



Pérez announced on Wednesday that he will leave Racing Point at the end of the season.



This season Vettel currently sits thirteenth in the Drivers' Standings with sixteen points, with his best race finish of sixth place at Hungary.

In my opinion, this is not a big surprise this news happen. It has been rumoured since the British Grand Prix that Vettel could sign with Aston Martin. The news of Pérez was leaving Racing Point, it became possible that Vettel was going to sign with Aston Martin within a matter of days.

A new challenge ahead for Sebastian Vettel.
