2020 Russian Grand Prix Review

Review of the tenth round of the 2020 F1 season at Sochi Autodrom, in Sochi for the Russian Grand Prix.

The race that Lewis Hamilton should have won easily. Current Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton on pole for Sundays race and took lead ahead of team-mate Valtteri Bottas. But, it was before the race even started when Hamilton doing practice starts outside the designated areas where he done it twice resulted in two 5-second timed penalties, when Hamilton pitted for tyres and take his penalty on lap 16 resulting Valtteri Bottas taking the lead. Bottas stayed there till the end to win this seasons Russian Grand Prix for Valtteri Bottas's second race win of the season.



While, Max Verstappen finished in second place in the Red Bull, Verstappen was eight seconds behind Bottas at the end.

Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton finished in third place in the other Mercedes to complete the podium, Bottas was twenty-three seconds behind Bottas at the end of the fifty-three lap race.

Now with seven races to go, Valtteri Bottas win in Sochi and Lewis Hamilton only managing a third place finish, Lewis Hamilton's lead of the F1 Drivers' Standings has been reduce from fifty-five points to forty-four points ahead of team-mate Valtteri Bottas in the standings with seven races to go.

While Mercedes still leads F1 Constructors' Standings, the gap is now improved from one hundred and thirty-two points to one hundred and seventy-four points for Red Bull who are second in the Constructors' Standings with seven races to go.
