Review of the ninth round of the 2020 MotoGP season at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, in the outskirts of Barcelona, Catalonia, in Spain.
In the MotoGP race (V-twin, V4, or Inline-four 1000cc four stroke class), that was won by Petronas Yamaha SRT rider Fabio Quartararo on his Yamaha YZR-M1.
Second was Team Suzuki Ecstar rider Joan Mir on his works Suzuki GSX-RR, he was a second behind Quartararo at the end.
While, third was Team Suzuki Ecstar rider Álex Rins on his works Suzuki GSX-RR, he was two seconds behind Quartararo at the end.
In the Moto2 race (Inline-three 765cc four-stroke class), that race was won by SKY Racing Team VR46 rider Luca Marini on the Kalex. Second was Marc VDS rider Sam Lowes on the Kalex, he was a second behind Marini at the end. While, third was +Ego Speed Up rider Fabio Di Giannantonio on the Speed Up, he was four seconds behind Marini at the end.
While in the Moto3 race (single-cylinder 250 cc four-stroke class), that race was won by CIP Green Power rider Darryn Binder on the KTM. Second was Rivacold Snipers Team rider Tony Arbolino on the Honda, he was a tenth of a second behind Binder at the end of the race. While, third was Leopard Racing rider Dennis Foggia on the Honda, he was two tenths of a second behind Binder at the end.
Finally It was confirmed on Saturday (26/9/20), Valentino Rossi has signed a new one-year deal with that will see him continue to compete with a Yamaha this time with Petronas Yamaha SRT in 2021 alongside Franco Morbidelli.
Rossi currently sits eleven place in the championship, with a best finish of third place at Jerez in late July.
