2020 Tuscan Grand Prix Review

Review of the ninth round of the 2020 F1 season at Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello, north-east of Florence, for the Tuscan Grand Prix.

Overall, it was a thrilling Grand Prix from start to finish, Current Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton on pole for Sundays race. On a dry Sunday race, Hamilton lost the lead at the start to team-mate Valtteri Bottas. Before got half way around the track safety car came out for retired cars of Max Verstappen and Pierre Galsy. On lap 7, the race resume until a mighty crash at the pit straight involving Carlos Sainz Jr., Antonio Giovinazzi, Kevin Magnussen, and Nicholas Latifi which resulted all four drivers retiring instantly and forcing the first red flag of the race.



At the restart, Bottas lost the lead at the start to team-mate Hamilton and controlling until lap 42 when Lance Stroll had a left-rear tyre exploded and crashing into the barriers, with the safety car returned for the third time, By lap 45 red flag return to stop the race once more.



At the new restarted, Hamilton got it right this time, took the lead ahead of Bottas and Daniel Ricciardo to control the last thirteen laps to win this seasons Tuscan Grand Prix for Lewis Hamilton's sixth Grand Prix win of the season.



Meanwhile, Valtteri Bottas finished in second place in the Mercedes to give the team its third one-two finish of the season, Bottas was five seconds behind Hamilton at the end.



Meanwhile, Alexander Albon finished in third place in the Red Bull to complete the podium, Albon was eight seconds behind Hamilton at the end of the fifty-nine lap race.
