Bottas joined the team from Williams in January as a replacement for Current F1 World Champion Nico Rosberg and claimed victories in Russia and Austria.
He currently holds third place in the Drivers' standings, forty-one points behind team-mate Lewis Hamilton with seven races to go.
Overall, a very good decision from Mercedes to keep Valtteri Bottas for another season. An impressive first season at Mercedes, although next season he might have a better change to win the Drivers' Championship next season.
