Review of Round One of the 2017 TCR International Series season was at Rustavi International Motorpark, on the outskirts of Tbilisi, Georgia.
In the first race, GE-Force driver Davit Kajaia took the race win in his Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR. Second was Zele Racing driver Ferenc Ficza in his SEAT León TCR, he was four tenths of a second behind Kajaia in the end. While, third place was Comtoyou Racing driver and current TCR International Series Champion Stefano Comini in his Audi RS3 LMS TCR, he was eleven tenths of a second behind Kajaia in the end.
While in the second race, Lukoil Craft-Bamboo Racing driver Pepe Oriola took the race win in his SEAT León TCR. Second was M1RA driver Attila Tassi in his Honda Civic Type-R TCR, he was five second behind Oriola in the end. While third place was Leopard Racing Team WRT driver Jean-Karl Vernay in his Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR, he was five and half seconds behind Oriola in the end.
Next stop Bahrain International Circuit, Sakhir, Bahrain for Round Two of the 2017 TCR International Series season in two weeks time.
