2017 6 Hours of Silverstone Review

Review of Round One of the 2017 FIA World Endurance Championship at Silverstone.

The Toyota Gazoo Racing team won the race overall and the LMP1 class too of Sébastien Buemi, Anthony Davidson and Kazuki Nakajima in their Toyota TS050 Hybrid. While, second place was the Porsche Team of Timo Bernhard, Brendon Hartley and Earl Bamber in their Porsche 919 Hybrid, they were six seconds behind the leaders at the end of the race. Meanwhile, third place was the other Porsche Team of Andre Lotterer, Neel Jani and Nick Tandy in their Porsche 919 Hybrid, they were forty-six seconds behind the leaders at the end of the race.

In LMP2 class (all cars using the Gibson 4.2 L V8 engine), the Jackie Chan DC Racing team of Ho-Pin Tung, Thomas Laurent and Oliver Jarvis in their Oreca 07 won LMP2 class. They finish in fourth place overall and they were thirteen laps behind the leaders at the end of the race.

While in GTE Pro class, was won by Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK of Andy Priaulx, Harry Tincknell and Pipo Derani won in their Ford GT. They finish in thirteenth place overall and they were twenty-six laps behind the leaders at the end of the race.

While in GTE Am class, was won by Clearwater Racing team of Weng Sun Mok, Keita Sawa and Matt Griffin in their Ferrari 488 GTE. They finish in twentieth place overall and they were thirty-one laps behind the leaders at the end of the race.
