2016 WTCC Round 5 Recap - Race of Germany

Review of Round Five of the 2016 World Touring Car Championship season was the Race of Germany, at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, west of Germany.

In the first race, Citroën Total WTCC driver and current WTCC Champion José María López took the race win in his C-Elysée WTCC. Second was Sébastien Loeb Racing driver Tom Chilton in his Citroën C-Elysée WTCC and also took Independents class win, he was half a second behind López in the end. While third place was Honda Racing Team JAS driver Norbert Michelisz in his Honda Civic WTCC, he was under seven seconds behind López in the end.



While in the second race, Citroën Total WTCC driver and current WTCC Champion José María López took another race win in his C-Elysée WTCC. Second was Honda Racing Team JAS driver Norbert Michelisz in his Honda Civic WTCC, he was four tenths of a second behind López in the end. While third place was Sébastien Loeb Racing driver Tom Chilton in his Citroën C-Elysée WTCC and also took Independents class win, he was a second behind López in the end.



Next stop Race of Russia at Moscow Raceway for Round Six of the 2016 World Touring Car Championship season in two weeks time.
