Review of Round Three of the 2018 British Touring Car Championship season was at Thruxton, in Hampshire.
In the first race, Halfords Yuasa Racing driver Matt Neal took the race win in his Honda Civic Type R (FK8). Second was Team BMW driver Colin Turkington in his BMW 125i M Sport, he was nine tenths of a second behind Neal in the end. While third place was Halfords Yuasa Racing driver Dan Cammish in his Honda Civic Type R (FK8) and also took Jack Sears Trophy (for drivers yet to record an overall podium finish or won outright the Jack Sears Trophy championship) win, he was three and half seconds behind Neal in the end.
Meanwhile, Independents class was won by Team GardX Racing with Motorbase driver Sam Tordoff in his Ford Focus RS, he finished in fourth place and was four seconds behind Neal in the end.
Meanwhile in the second race, Power Maxed Racing driver Josh Cook took the race win in his Vauxhall Astra. Second was Team BMW driver Colin Turkington in his BMW 125i M Sport, he was thirteen tenths of a second behind Cook in the end. While third place was Halfords Yuasa Racing driver Matt Neal in his Honda Civic Type R (FK8), he was five seconds behind Cook in the end.
Meanwhile, Independents class was won by Team GardX Racing with Motorbase driver Sam Tordoff in his Ford Focus RS, he finished in fourth place and was six seconds behind Cook in the end.
While, Jack Sears Trophy was won by BTC Norlin Racing driver Chris Smiley in his Honda Civic Type R (FK2), he finished in tenth place and was ten seconds behind Cook in the end.
Finally in the third race, Ciceley Motorsport with Mac Tools driver Adam Morgan took the race win in his Mercedes-Benz A-Class and also took Independents class win. Second was WIX Racing with Eurotech driver Jack Goff in his Honda Civic Type R (FK2), he was two and half seconds behind Morgan in the end. While third place was Power Maxed Racing driver Senna Proctor in his Vauxhall Astra, he was three seconds behind Morgan in the end.
While, Jack Sears Trophy was won by BTC Norlin Racing driver Chris Smiley in his Honda Civic Type R (FK2), he finished in ninth place and was thirteen seconds behind Morgan in the end.
Next stop Oulton Park for Round Four of the 2018 British Touring Car Championship season in three weeks time.
