2018 BTCC Round 2 Recap

Review of Round Two of the 2018 British Touring Car Championship season was at Donington Park's National Circuit, in Leicestershire.

In the first race, Power Maxed Racing driver Josh Cook took the race win in his Vauxhall Astra. Second was Halfords Yuasa Racing driver Dan Cammish in his Honda Civic Type R (FK8) and also took Jack Sears Trophy (for drivers yet to record an overall podium finish or won outright the Jack Sears Trophy championship) win, he was three and half seconds behind Cook in the end. While third place was Laser Tools Racing driver Aiden Moffat in his Mercedes-Benz A-Class and also took Independents class win, he was five and half seconds behind Cook in the end.


Meanwhile in the second race, Speedworks Motorsport driver Tom Ingram took the race win in his Toyota Avensis and also took Independents class win. Second was BTC Norlin Racing driver Chris Smiley in his Honda Civic Type R (FK2) and also took Jack Sears Trophy win, he was eight tenths of a second behind Ingram in the end. While third place was WIX Racing with Eurotech driver Jack Goff in his Honda Civic Type R (FK2), he was three seconds behind Ingram in the end.


Finally in the third race, Ciceley Motorsport with Mac Tools driver Adam Morgan took the race win in his Mercedes-Benz A-Class and also took Independents class win. Second was Power Maxed Racing driver Josh Cook in his Vauxhall Astra, he was four tenths of a second behind Morgan in the end. While third place was Laser Tools Racing driver Aiden Moffat in his Mercedes-Benz A-Class, he was nine and half seconds behind Morgan in the end.

While, Jack Sears Trophy was won by Trade Price Cars with Brisky Racing driver Jake Hill in his Volkswagen CC, he finished in tenth place and was ten seconds behind Morgan in the end.


Next stop Thruxton for Round Three of the 2018 British Touring Car Championship season in three weeks time.
