2017 WRC Round 6 recap - Rally de Portugal

Recap of the last round of WRC from this weekends Round Six of Rally de Portugal.

This weekend was the sixth round of the World Rally Championship at the Rally de Portugal (19th-21st May) was won by M-Sport World Rally Team driver and current WRC champion Sébastien Ogier in his Ford Fiesta WRC.

While, Thierry Neuville finished second in his works Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC, Neuville was fifteen seconds behind Ogier at the end. Meanwhile, Dani Sordo finished third in his works Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC, Sordo was sixty-one seconds behind Ogier at the end of the rally.

While in the WRC Trophy (crews entering World Rally Cars used between 2011 and 2016), that was won by OneBet Jipocar World Rally Team driver Martin Prokop in his Ford Fiesta RS WRC. Martin Prokop finished in fourteenth place overall, he was over fifteen minutes behind Ogier at the end of the rally.

Meanwhile in WRC-2 class (Group R5, R4, Super 2000 and Group N4 spec cars), that was won by Škoda Motorsport driver Pontus Tidemand in his Škoda Fabia R5. Pontus Tidemand finished in eleventh place overall, he was over eleven minutes behind Ogier at the end of the rally.

While in WRC-3 class (Group R1, R2 and R3 cars) that was won by Name Rua Racing driver Francisco Name in his Citroën DS3 R3T. Raphaël Astier finished in thirty-first place overall, he was fifty-four minutes behind Ogier at the end of the rally.
