Even, Nissan has made the bold claim that they will win the 24 Hours of Le Mans race within the next two years with its all-new LMP1 challenger.
Nissan has pervious experience racing at Le Mans in the LMP1 class, back in 1999 with the Nissan R391, which both cars failed to finish.
But, Nissan best result at Le Mans was in 1998 with the Nissan R390 GT1, were the Nissan R390 finished in third place, fours laps down, in hands of Aguri Suzuki, Kazuyoshi Hoshino, and Masahiko Kageyama.
Designed and developed by the TWR team back in 1997. The Nissan R390 GT1 used a Nissan 3.5 litre twin-turbo V8 engine which produce 650 bhp.
Overall, it will be a very tough challenge ahead for Nissan in 2015, challenging the likes of rivals Audi, Porsche and Toyota in technology and imagination.
