2014 Dutch MotoGP Review

Review of the round eight of the 2014 MotoGP season at TT Circuit Assen, Assen in Holland for MotoGP's only Saturday race of the season.

In the MotoGP race (V-twin, V4, or Inline-four 1000cc four stroke class), that was won by Repsol Honda Team rider and current MotoGP champion Marc Márquez on his works Honda RC213V. Second place was the Ducati Team rider Andrea Dovizioso on his works Ducati Desmosedici GP14, he was seven seconds behind Márquez at the end. While, the other Repsol Honda Team rider Dani Pedrosa on his works Honda RC213V, he was eleven seconds behind Márquez at the end.

In Open class (Full control ECU system, hardware and software), NGM Forward Racing rider Aleix Espargaró won Open class and finished forth overall on his FTR-Yamaha YZR-M1, he was 19 seconds behind Márquez at the end.

In the Moto2 race (Inline-four 600 cc four-stroke class), that race was won by QMMF Racing Team rider of Anthony West on the Speed Up. Second was Paginas Amarillas HP 40 rider of Maverick Viñales on the Kalex, he was three tenths of a second behind West at the end of the race. While, third was Marc VDS Racing Team of Mika Kallio on the Kalex, he was seven tenths of a second behind West at the end of the race.

While in the Moto3 race (single-cylinder 250 cc four-stroke class), that race was won by Estrella Galicia rider Álex Márquez on the Honda. Second was Estrella Galicia rider Álex Rins on the Honda, he was three seconds behind team-mate Márquez at the end of the race. While, third was Mahindra Racing rider Miguel Oliveira on the Mahindra, he was only three and half a seconds behind Márquez at the end of the race.
