Review of Round Five of the 2014 United SportsCar Championship at The Raceway on Belle Isle in Detroit.
Wayne Taylor Racing team won the race overall and Prototype class too of Jordan Taylor, and Ricky Taylor in their Corvette DP, Chevrolet 5.5L V8. While, Spirit of Daytona Racing team finished second place in their Corvette DP, Chevrolet 5.5L V8, the team of Michael Valiante and Richard Westbrook; they were two tenths of a second behind the leaders. Meanwhile, OAK Racing team finished third place in their Morgan LMP2, Nissan VK45DE 4.5 L V8, the team of Olivier Pla, and Gustavo Yacaman; they were nine seconds behind the leaders.
In GT Daytona class, Scuderia Corsa Ferrari team won GT Le Mans class and finished in eighth place overall in their Ferrari 458 Italia GT3; with the drivers of Alessandro Balzan and Jeff Westphal; they were a lap behind the leaders.
While both Prototype Challenge class and GT Le Mans class did not participate for this race.
