Half Term Review of F1 Season so far and My top Formula 1 drivers of 2013 so far

The half term review of Formula 1 season so far, with the next race is in three weeks time. Just like last year, I will say one sentence that will be positive with each team. And one sentence that will be negative for each team. Also, I will include with this post my Top 10 Formula 1 drivers of 2013 so far below.

Red Bull:
+ Best car and driver on the grid so far with the RB9 and Sebastian Vettel.
- Replacing Mark Webber for 2014 season will be a touch challenge to replace him at Red Bull.

Ferrari:
+ Some great race performances from Fernando Alonso, which includes race wins at Shanghai and Barcelona.
- The car is too slow in qualifying and in races may cost drivers standings so far, that may cost Fernando Alonso and Ferrari both he drivers and constructors championship this year.

McLaren:
+ Honda V6 Turbo engines are on their way for the 2015 season.
- The team is missing Lewis Hamilton and also the car itself is too slow this season, their best option is to finish in fifth place in the constructors standings.

Lotus
+ Some great race performances from Kimi Raikkonen which includes race win at Melbourne.
- Both Kimi Räikkonen and Lotus are missing out a few race wins this season (Bahrain, Shanghai and Nurburgring).

Mercedes
+ Some impressive race wins for Mercedes this season which includes wins for Nico Rosberg at Monaco and Silverstone; and Lewis Hamilton at the Hunganoring.
- Great in qualifying, great race car, but thats been ruined by races that the team doesn't understand the use of this years Pirelli tyres which has cost the team an opportunity of winning the drivers and constructor titles this season.

Sauber
+ Some impressive performances from Nico Hülkenberg this season, despite under performing race car
- Despite bringing sponsorship from Mexico, Esteban Gutiérrez hasn't be performing well from his debut season.

Force India
+ Both Paul di Resta and Adrian Sutil are showing why they have the potential to be in any top five team within Formula 1 so far this season
- The car is a little under performing in races that would have given both Paul di Resta (Bahrain) and Adrian Sutil (Melbourne and Silverstone) podiums this season.

Williams
+ Some reasonable good performances from both Pastor Maldonado and Valtteri Bottas this season, despite an under perforamong race car.
- A very poor race car Williams have got this season, you can't blame the engine and drivers, as last time last season they got 53 points at this point, this season only one point.

Scuderia Toro Rosso
+ Both Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Éric Vergne are showing why they are in Formula 1 with some great performances. Even a possibility of Daniel Ricciardo driving for Red Bull next season.
- Some great qualifying performances are ruined by some poor race pace this season from both drivers sides.

Caterham
+ Got Renault V6 Turbo engines for next season which will help for 2014.
- Caterham have not improved performance to catch up with the midfield teams this season, I think the team are missing an experience race driver like Heikki Kovalainen for example.

Marussia
+ Jules Bianchi has been impressive during his debut season, even out performing Caterham drivers' this season.
- As the same problem as Caterham above, Marussia are missing their pervious driver Timo Glock to develop the car to beat Caterham to tenth in the constructors standings.

Like last season, my Top 10 Formula 1 drivers of 2013 so far this season, this is the part who was in my top 10 so far this season, not in championship order, so his list doesn't includes Jenson Button for example. So here is my list below.

My Top Formula 1 drivers of 2013 so far this season:

1.Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull) - Best driver on the grid this season so far with strong possibility of winning the drivers championship.
2.Kimi Räikkonen (Lotus) - Impressive race win at Melbourne, but the car needs to faster to fight for wins and to fight for drivers title against Sebastian Vettel.
3.Fernando Alonso (Ferrari) - Fast as ever, some great wins at Shanghai and Barcelona this season, but his has been too slow when needed, needs a faster car to challenge Sebastian Vettel.
4.Nico Rosberg (Mercedes) - Some great results this season at Silverstone and Monaco, fast as his team-mate, but his Mercedes reliability has cost Nico Rosberg a challenge for the drivers championship this season.
5.Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) - A new challenge for Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes, still fast as ever, won brilliantly at Hungaroring, should have won at Silverstone, car is getting faster in each race and still can win the drivers championship.
6.Mark Webber (Red Bull) - Some impressive drives at Silverstone and Sepang, should have won in Sepang with Multi21-gate, leaving Formula 1 at the end of the season to drive with Porsche in WEC in 2014, much missed.
7.Fillipe Massa (Ferrari) - Impressive drivers at Melbourne and Barcelona, an improve from last time last season, but is it enough to keep his Ferrari drive in 2014.
8.Paul di Resta (Force India) - Just like his team-mate some impressive drives at Bahrain, Monaco and Montreal, fast driver as usual, but needs to step up and drive in a top four team.
9.Romain Grosjean (Lotus) - Two podiums at Bahrain and Nurburgirng was impressive, more constancy is a bonus for the former GP2 Champion.
10.Adrian Sutil (Force India) - A good return after a year off, impressive drives at Melbourne, Bahrain and Monaco.

End of a super long post/blog for now. A new shorter post soon. Bye.
