2013 Belgian Grand Prix Review and thoughts

2013 Belgian Grand Prix review of round eleven of the F1 season at Spa-Francorchamps, and thoughts on the race.

Good points
  • Sebastian Vettel (lead to start to finish for race victory)
  • Fernando Alonso (finished 2nd)
  • Mercedes (Lewis Hamilton finished 3rd; Nico Rosberg finished 4th)
  • Jenson Button (finished 6th)
  • Adrian Sutil (finished 9th)
  • Daniel Ricciardo (finished 10th)
  • Giedo van der Garde (finished 16th, ahead of Pastor Maldonado and both Marussia drivers)
Bad points
  • Kimi Räikkonen (DNF, Brakes, 38-1, first DNF since Nurburgring 2009)
  • Pastor Maldonado (finished 17th, Collision with Paul di Resta midway through the race)
  • Paul di Resta (DNF, Collision with Pastor Maldonado)
  • Charles Pic (DNF, Oil leak)
The race itself wasn't a good enough race to watch. Because, it was just an easy race win for the current F1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel, to take his fifth race win of the season, after passing pole sitter Lewis Hamilton on the first lap of the race to take the win and possibly one of his easy wins of his career.

Meanwhile, Fernando Alosno finished in second place in the Ferrari. While, pole sitter Lewis Hamilton finished in third place, in his Mercedes.

And now with Sebastian Vettel winning the Belgian Grand Prix, he now leads the drivers championship from 38 points to 46 points ahead of Fernando Alonso in the standings. Lewis Hamilton is now only 59 points behind behind Vettel in the drivers standings. Despite he did not finish the race with brakes issue, Kimi Räikkönen is now 63 points behind Vettel in the standings with eight races to go.

End of blog/post for how, new post soon. Bye.
