Review of the sixteenth round of the 2021 F1 season held at the Istanbul Racing Circuit, on the outskirts of Istanbul for the Turkish Grand Prix.
Overall, the race itself was a good race to watch. Sir Lewis Hamilton was fastest in qualifying, he forced to take an engine change before qualifying, which means a ten place grid penalty. Resulting, team-mate Valtteri Bottas took the pole for Sunday's race. On a damp Turkish Grand Prix, Bottas took the lead at the start and comfortably lead the race throughout to win this seasons Turkish Grand Prix Review for Valtteri Bottas's first Grand Prix win of the season.
Meanwhile, Max Verstappen finished in second place in the Red Bull, Verstappen was fifteen seconds behind Bottas at the end.
Meanwhile, Sergio Pérez finished in third place in the other Red Bull to complete the podium, Pérez was thirty-four seconds behind Bottas at the end of the fifty-eight lap race.
Now with six races to go, Max Verstappen second place finish at Istanbul and Sir Lewis Hamilton only managing a fifth place finish. Max Verstappen's retake the lead of the F1 Drivers' Standings has been reduce from two points behind to six points ahead of Sir Lewis Hamilton in the standings with six races to go.
While Mercedes still leads F1 Constructors' Standings, the gap is now improved from thirty-three to thirty-six points from Red Bull who are second in the Constructors' Standings with six races to go.
