Review of Round Nine of the 2021 British Touring Car Championship season was at Donington Park's National Circuit, in Leicestershire.
In the first race, Halfords Racing with Cataclean driver Gordon Shedden took the race win in his Honda Civic Type R and also took Independents class win. Second was Adrian Flux with Power Maxed Racing driver Dan Lloyd in his Vauxhall Astra, he was thirteen tenths of a second behind Shedden in the end. While third place was Toyota Gazoo Racing UK driver Rory Butcher in his Toyota Corolla GR Sport, he was two and half seconds behind Shedden in the end.
While, Jack Sears Trophy (for drivers yet to record an overall podium finish or won outright the Jack Sears Trophy championship) was won by Racing with Wera and Photon Group driver Sam Osborne in his Ford Focus ST, he finished in twelfth place and was fourteen seconds behind Butcher in the end.
Meanwhile in the second race, Halfords Racing with Cataclean driver Gordon Shedden took the race win in his Honda Civic Type R and also took Independents class win. Second was Ginsters Excelr8 with TradePriceCars.com driver Tom Ingram in his Hyundai i30 Fastback N Performance and also took Independents class win, he was three tenths of a second behind Shedden in the end. While third place was Toyota Gazoo Racing UK driver Rory Butcher in his Toyota Corolla GR Sport, he was two and half seconds behind Shedden in the end.
While, Jack Sears Trophy was won by Halfords Racing with Cataclean driver Daniel Rowbottom in his Honda Civic Type R, he finished in tenth place and was eight seconds behind Shedden in the end.
Finally in the third race, Team BMW driver Colin Turkington took the race win in his BMW 330i M Sport. Second was MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square driver Jake Hill in his Ford Focus ST, he was four seconds behind Turkington in the end. While third place was Laser Tools Racing driver Aiden Moffat in his Infiniti Q50 and also took Independents class win, he was five seconds behind behind Turkington in the end.
While, Jack Sears Trophy was won by Halfords Racing with Cataclean driver Daniel Rowbottom in his Honda Civic Type R, he finished in sixth place and was eleven seconds behind Turkington in the end.
Next stop Brands Hatch for Round Ten and the final round of the 2021 British Touring Car Championship season in two weeks time.
