2021 BTCC Round 7 Recap

Review of Round Seven of the 2021 British Touring Car Championship season was at Croft, in North Yorkshire.

In the first race, Laser Tools Racing driver Aiden Moffat took the race win in his Infiniti Q50 and also took Independents class win. Second was MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square driver Jake Hill in his Ford Focus ST, he was half a second behind Moffat in the end. While third place was BTC Racing driver Senna Proctor in his Honda Civic Type R, he was two seconds behind behind Moffat in the end.

While, Jack Sears Trophy (for drivers yet to record an overall podium finish or won outright the Jack Sears Trophy championship) was won by Laser Tools Racing driver Carl Boardley in his Infiniti Q50, he finished in fifteenth place and was eleven seconds behind Moffat in the end.



Meanwhile in the second race, MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square driver Jake Hill took the race win in his Ford Focus ST. Second was Laser Tools Racing driver Aiden Moffat in his Infiniti Q50 and also took Independents class win, he was five seconds behind Hill in the end. While third place was BTC Racing driver Josh Cook in his Honda Civic Type R, he was eleven seconds behind behind Hill in the end.

While, Jack Sears Trophy was won by Racing with Wera and Photon Group driver Sam Osborne in his Ford Focus ST, he finished in thirteenth place and was thirteen seconds behind Hill in the end.



Finally in the third race, Team BMW driver Colin Turkington took the race win in his BMW 330i M Sport. Second was Halfords Racing with Cataclean driver Gordon Shedden in his Honda Civic Type R and also took Independents class win, he was three and half seconds behind Turkington in the end. While third place was Laser Tools Racing driver and current BTCC Champion Ash Sutton in his Infiniti Q50, he was four seconds behind behind Turkington in the end.

While, Jack Sears Trophy was won by Halfords Racing with Cataclean driver Daniel Rowbottom in his Honda Civic Type R, he finished in ninth place and was twenty seconds behind Turkington in the end.



Next stop Silverstone for Round Eight of the 2020 British Touring Car Championship season in a weeks time.
