It was confirmed on Tuesday (25/8/20), this seasons Vietnamese and Chinese Grand Prix has been both officially cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Vietnamese Grand Prix was set to be the third round of the season, on April 5th, Chinese Grand Prix was set to be the fourth round of the season, on April 19th. Both races are off due to they couldn't put in the calendar in time.
Meaning thirteen of the first twenty-first races originally in Australia, Vietnam, China, Holland, Monaco, Azerbaijan, Canada, France, Singapore, Japan, United States, Mexico and Brazil had already been called off due to the pandemic.
Coronavirus, officially named Covid-19, that has killed over 810,000 people, with nearly 24,000,000, cases reported.
Meanwhile, this was also confirmed, Formula 1 has added the final four races to its 2020 calendar taking the total number of races to 17.
The Turkish Grand Prix on November 15th marks a return for the Istanbul Park track for the first time in nine seasons.
Bahrain will host two races, on November 29th and December 6th (as the Sakhir Grand Prix) for the first time two Grand Prixs held in Bahrain in the same season,
Then on December 13th, Abu Dhabi's Grand Prix to finish off the 2020 Formula 1 season.
