2018 WTCR Round 8 Recap - Race of China – Wuhan

Review of Round Eight of the 2018 World Touring Car Cup season was the Race of China – Wuhan, on the Wuhan Street Circuit, Wuhan, East of China.

In the first race, Audi Sport Leopard Lukoil Team WRT driver Jean-Karl Vernay took the race win in his Audi RS3 LMS TCR. Second was Team Oscaro by Campos Racing driver Pepe Oriola in his CUPRA León TCR, he was five seconds behind Vernay in the end. While third place was Audi Sport Leopard Lukoil Team WRT driver Gordon Shedden in his Audi RS3 LMS TCR, he was five and half seconds behind Vernay in the end.



Meanwhile in the second race, Sébastien Loeb Racing driver Mehdi Bennani took the race win in his Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR. Second was DG Sport Compétition driver Aurélien Comte in his Peugeot 308 TCR, he was half a second behind Bennani in the end. While third place was Audi Sport Team Comtoyou driver Nathanaël Berthon in his Audi RS3 LMS TCR, he was six tenths of a second behind Bennani in the end.



Finally in the third race, Audi Sport Leopard Lukoil Team WRT driver Gordon Shedden took the race win in his Audi RS3 LMS TCR. Second was Audi Sport Team Comtoyou driver Frédéric Vervisch in his Audi RS3 LMS TCR, he was half a second behind Shedden in the end. While third place was Audi Sport Team Comtoyou driver Denis Dupont in his Audi RS3 LMS TCR, he was five seconds behind Shedden in the end.



Next stop Race of Japan at Suzuka Circuit for Round Nine of the 2018 World Touring Car Cup season in three weeks time.
