2018 Australian MotoGP Review

Review of round seventeen of the 2018 MotoGP season at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circult, Phillip Island, south-southeast of Melbourne, for the Australian GP.

In the MotoGP race (V-twin, V4, or Inline-four 1000cc four stroke class), that was won by Movistar Yamaha MotoGP rider Maverick Viñales on his works Yamaha YZR-M1.



Second place was Team Suzuki Ecstar rider Andrea Iannone on his works Suzuki GSX-RR, he was fifteen tenths of a second behind Viñales at the end.



While, third was Ducati Team rider Andrea Dovizioso on his works Ducati Desmosedici GP18, he was eighteen tenths of a second behind Viñales at the end.



In the Moto2 race (Inline-four 600 cc four-stroke class), that race was won by Red Bull KTM Ajo rider Brad Binder on the KTM. Second was Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS rider and Current Moto3 Champion Joan Mir on the Kalex, he was four hundredths of a second behind Binder at the end. While, third was Dynavolt Intact GP rider Xavi Vierge on the Kalex, he was nine tenths of a second behind Binder at the end.

While in the Moto3 race (single-cylinder 250 cc four-stroke class), that race was won by Ángel Nieto Team Moto3 rider Albert Arenas on the KTM. Second was Del Conca Gresini Racing Moto3 rider Fabio Di Giannantonio on the Honda, he was five hundredths of a second behind Arenas at the end of the race. While, third was SKY Racing Team VR46 rider Celestino Vietti on the KTM, he was six hundredths of a second behind Arenas at the end of the race.
