2018 Petit Le Mans Review

Review of Round Twelve and final round of the 2018 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the final round of the North American Endurance Championship at Road Atlanta, Braselton, Georgia for the annual Petit Le Mans.

Wayne Taylor Racing team won the race overall and Prototype class too of Ryan Hunter-Reay, Jordan Taylor and Renger van der Zande in their Cadillac DPi-V.R, Cadillac 5.5 L V8.



While, Mazda Team Joest finished second place in their Mazda RT24-P, Mazda MZ-2.0T 2.0 L Turbo I4, the team of Oliver Jarvis, Tristan Nunez and Lucas di Grassi; they were five and half seconds behind the leaders. Meanwhile, Mazda Team Joest finished third place in their Mazda RT24-P, Mazda MZ-2.0T 2.0 L Turbo I4, the team of Jonathan Bomarito, Spencer Pigot and Marino Franchitti; they were eight seconds behind the leaders.

In GT Le Mans Class, Porsche GT Team won GT Le Mans Class and finished in twelfth place overall in their Porsche 911 RSR; with the drivers of Frédéric Makowiecki, Patrick Pilet and Nick Tandy; they were twenty-four laps behind the leaders.

In GT Daytona Class, Meyer Shank Racing with Scuderia Corsa team won GT Daytona Class and finished in twenty-first place overall in their Ferrari 488 GT3; with the drivers of Gunnar Jeannette, Cooper MacNeil and Daniel Serra; they were thirty-six laps behind the leaders.


And so who are this years champions as its the final round of the season. In Prototype Class, Eric Curran and Felipe Nasr won the drivers championship, while Action Express Racing took the teams championship; while Cadillac took the Manufacturers championship.



In GT Le Mans Class, Antonio García and Jan Magnussen won the drivers championship, while Corvette Racing took the teams championship; while Ford took the Manufacturers championship.

In GT Daytona Class, Brian Sellers and Madison Snow won the drivers championship, while Paul Miller Racing took the teams championship; while Lamborghini took the Manufacturers championship.

To conclude this seasons WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
