2018 Japanese Grand Prix Review

Review of the seventeenth round of the 2018 F1 season at Suzuka, Suzuka City for the Japanese Grand Prix.

Overall, a dominating race weekend for Current Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton. Lewis Hamilton was on pole for Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix, Hamilton took the advantage at the start and comfortably lead the race with team-mate Valtteri Bottas and Max Verstappen behind him and didn't look back leading all of the laps to conclude with a race win in this seasons Japanese Grand Prix for Lewis Hamilton's ninth race win of the season.



While, Hamilton's team-mate and Valtteri Bottas finished in second place in the other Mercedes to give the team its fourth one-two finish of the season, Bottas was thirteen seconds behind Hamilton at the end.

Meanwhile, Max Verstappen finished in third place in the Red Bull to complete the podium, Verstappen was fourteen seconds behind Hamilton at the end of the fifty-three lap race.

With Lewis Hamilton's win in Suzuka and Sebastian Vettel only managing a sixth place finish, but the gap is now improved from fifty points to sixty-seven points in the standings with four races to go.

Lewis Hamilton could win his fifth Drivers' Championship in Austin. If Hamilton wins the race, with Vettel no higher than third in the United States Grand Prix.

While Mercedes still leads F1 Constructors' Standings, the gap is now gained from fifty-three points to seventy-eight points for Ferrari who are second in the Constructors' Standings with four races to go.
