Confirmed: Nissan to enter Formula E in 2018/19

It was confirmed on Wednesday (25/10/17), Nissan will enter Formula E for the fifth season of the category in 2018/19, it was announced at the Tokyo Motor Show that it will enter the electric single-seater series in place of an existing manufacturer Renault who will focus on Formula 1 instead with Nissan to take its place at the e.dams operation.





Nissan will becomes the first Japanese Manufacture to enter the electric series.

Nissan will compete from the fifth season of the all-electric single-seater championship, when the series introduces a new chassis and battery specifications.

No surprises there, as Renault and Nissan have held a strategic partnership/Alliance since 1999.

A new challenge ahead for Nissan.
